Mr. & Mrs. Allen | Capital Bluffs Event Center

We gathered with Tristyn and Cody and their closest family and friends for their beautiful September wedding day!  Capital Bluffs Event Center provided the perfect venue for the duo to officially tie the knot. As we entered the venue on the morning of the wedding, laughter could be heard upstairs in the bridal suite as the girls prepared for the big day!  Tristyn was all smiles as she sat in the chair getting her hair and makeup done.  She was glowing and looked so excited for the day to get started.

While the girls continued getting ready with hair and makeup, we photographed her pretty bridal details.  We love the gorgeous large window at the back of the venue.  It’s the perfect location to photograph the wedding gown accompanied by the bridesmaid dresses.  The extravagant window pours in the most beautiful natural light, making our photography hearts so happy!

As we finished up with the bridal details, the venue came alive as the groom and groomsmen entered the venue.  Laughter echoed through the venue as the guys cracked jokes with one another.  Cody looked nervous and anxious to get the day started.  He got ready with the help of his best man.  Once all of his attire was in place, his mom came in to add the final touch.  She gently pinned the boutonnière on his lapel and smiled at the sight of her son as a groom.  Once Cody was fully ready for the day, he sat on the couch and read a sweet love note from Tristyn.  Cody and his guys made their way outside to the covered patio area where they would hang out for the rest of the afternoon until the first look.

Just inside, Tristyn and her girls were finished with hair and makeup.  Before getting her in the gown, Tristyn joined her bridesmaids on the elegant couch for a few fun photos in their matching robes.  The girls were off to get into their dresses while Tristyn sat on the couch to read a letter from her groom.  Tristyn’s mom lingered in the background trying not to tear up as she looked at her daughter in awe.  With the help of her mom and Maid of Honor, Tristyn was in her form fitting wedding gown in no time at all.  She looked absolutely radiant.  You could tell she was so excited for the day. Tristyn smiled with the most joyful of smiles as she slid into her gown, added touches of jewelry, and finished the look with a simple veil.  Tristyn’s mom became emotional many times as she witnessed her daughter as a bride.

Tristyn’s bridesmaids anxiously waited in a nearby room so they could finally see Tristyn as a bride.  We motioned the girls to make their way out of the bridal suite.  They stood facing the wall before “one, two , three”  was called out.  They all turned around cheering in excitement.  It was a sweet moment to witness as they all told Tristyn how stunning she looked in her gown.  They sang her praises with the sweetest of compliments.  Just around the corner, Tristyn’s dad was waiting to share a first look with his daughter.  Tristyn glided towards him.  As her father turned around, he was met with his gorgeous daughter, arms stretched out wide waiting for a warm embrace.  He looked so happy as they shared their first look.

The day was moving smoothly, and it was time for the bride and groom to share their first look with one another.  We set Cody up near the waters edge on the golf course where he stood anxiously awaiting the arrival of his bride.  Tristyn made her way over to Cody in a golf Cart.  As she exited the cart, she paused for a moment to take it all in as her wedding gown train was fluffed out.   When she was ready, she smiled and made her way to Cody.  Cody turned around looking happy as ever as he saw his beautiful bride!  These two are just the absolute cutest when they are around each other.  It’s evident the love they share is something special.  We photographed a few bride and groom portraits near the waters edge before venturing downtown for bridal party portraits.

The remainder of the afternoon passed in a flurry of excitement as we photographed bridesmaids and groomsmen downtown.  Everyone was so fun to work with and made everything simple for us!  After portraits were complete, we all headed back to the venue where guests had already begun filing in and finding their seats.  Tristyn and Cody shared in a sweet ceremony at Capital Bluffs Event Center.  In front of all their family and friends, Tristyn and Cody professed their love for one another, exchanged rings, and vows before being pronounced husband and wife.  As they made their way back down the aisle, both Tristyn and Cody looked joyful.

We quickly popped Tristyn and Cody outside near the pond for a few sunset portraits while a team of people quickly flipped the venue from the ceremony to the reception.  As it was time for the bridal party to make their grand entrance, the DJ got everyone hyped up.  The crowd cheered in excitement as the new Mr. and Allen entered the venue.  The night was one of the most fun wedding receptions we have ever been a part of.  They hired one of the best Dj’s we have ever seen in mid Missouri.  A young 15 year old DJ from St. Louis kept the dance floor filled all evening long with his amazing skills.  It really was an experience to watch him do his thing and keep people entertained for hours.  He even invited Tristyn up at one point in the evening to DJ with him.  Guests circled the DJ booth and hyped Tristyn up as she danced and did her thing.  The night was so fun and we were so sad when it came to an end.

We ended our evening on a high note as Tristyn and Cody were sent off with a sparkler exit.  Family and friends waved their sparklers as Tristyn and Cody danced their way down the tunnel. Their day has quickly become one of our favorites of the year, and I think you’ll be able to see why as you scroll through their images.  From beginning to end, the day was filled with an overwhelming amount of love. Tristyn and Cody are a one-of-a-kind pair and we couldn’t be any more excited to share a sneak peek into their gorgeous day.

Tristyn and Cody, thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to document your very special day!  We had so much fun with you both and loved meeting all of your sweet family and friends!  You two have been a blast to work with.  May you both have many years together filled with happiness.  Enjoy some of our favorites from the day.
