Mr. & Mrs. Dettlaff | Westphalia, Missouri Wedding

Raegan and Ori are such a lovely pair!  I had so much fun watching their wedding day unfold in the presence of all of their family and friends.  I began the day photographing the reception venue.  They did such a great job transforming the hall into a beautiful romantic space for the night.  I headed over to the church to document the bridal details.  Raegan had the prettiest florals with pops of vibrant red.  They perfectly matched the bridesmaid dresses.  One by one, the bridesmaids began showing up to the getting ready space!  They all looked amazing as they returned from the hair salon.  Raegan was looking so excited to get the day started.

We met up with Ori and his parents for his getting ready portraits.  They have the sweetest relationship with their son.  Ori became very emotional as his mom pinned on his boutonnière  and his dad helped him with his jacket.  Back inside, Raegan was ready to get into her wedding gown.  With the help of her mom and sister, she was fastened into the elegant gown in no time.  A gorgeous cathedral length veil was added to finish off the bridal look.  All the bridesmaids came back inside the room for a grand reveal.

Next, Raegan would share a first look with the first man she ever loved.  Her dad patiently waited for Raegan to arrive.  She tapped his shoulder and he turned around exclaiming how beautiful she looked.  It was finally time for the bride and groom first look. Ori was ushered out and set into place.  We fluffed out Raegan’s gorgeous gown.  She called Ori’s name, and he turned around in awe of his bride.  They both had the biggest smiles on their faces.  They quickly embraced.  Ori once again became emotional and tears streamed down his face.

We decided to take advantage of being ahead and took a few bride and groom portraits outside of the church.  These two were absolute troopers.  It was perhaps one of the windiest wedding days of the year.  We had to work diligently to photograph portraits between the heavy wind gusts.  Hair was blowing all over the place, and the dress train kept getting rolled up.  Raegan remained calm as ever and took the wind in stride.  We were so thankful for their patience, because ultimately, we were able to capture several cute moments.

Before the ceremony, we knocked out all of the family formals and traditional bridal portraits.  Raegan and Ori shared in a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony with a full mass. Within a little over an hour, the two were pronounced husband and wife.  The new Mr. & Mrs. Dettlaff happily made their way back up the aisle, hand in hand. After church, Raegan and Ori, along with their bridal party loaded up on the party bus and headed to a gorgeous property for photos.  We ventured around the property taking in the beautiful fall scenery.  The wind gusts had picked up even more at this point.  But all the while, Raegan and Ori stayed calm and just loved being around each other.  They were so happy to be married!

We headed back into Westphalia for the reception!  The night was full of the sweetest toasts, the cake was cut, and first dances set the stage for a fun night.  Guests danced the night away as they celebrated Raegan and Ori.  It was one spectacular day!

Raegan and Ori, thank you so much for allowing me and my team a front row seat to one of the most special days of your lives.  It’s been a privilege documenting your love story throughout this last year!  We want to wish you two a lifetime of happiness.  We are so excited for you to begin this new journey as husband and wife!  Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Detlaff!
