Mr. & Mrs. Rademan | Capital Bluffs Event Center Wedding

Lauren and Coleton are celebrating one week of marriage today!  I couldn’t be any more excited to share a peek into their special day.  They had the most beautiful wedding day at Capital Bluffs Event Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.  Many family and friends gathered for the celebration, making it one of our biggest weddings of the year.

I arrived early in the morning as Lauren and her bridesmaids were prepping with hair and makeup, upstairs.  Music and laughter filled the air most of the morning.  I photographed their reception details first thing.  They did an amazing transforming the space with all of their decor.  We photographed several portraits with Lauren and her bridesmaids in their matching pajamas before it was time to get Lauren in her gown.

Lauren slipped on her gorgeous wedding gown from Breeze Bridal Boutique, with the help of her Maid of Honor, Lindsey.  Lauren’s mom and sister had not seen her in her wedding gown, so she wanted to do a grand reveal with them.  It was made more special because Lauren had her wedding veil made entirely from her mom’s wedding gown.  All of the tulle and beading was all repurposed from the wedding gown and handcrafted into a beautiful new veil.

Lauren’s mom and sister were overcome with all the emotions when they turned around and witnessed her as a beautiful bride!  Lauren’s mom teared up and instantly gave her the warmest of hugs.  Her mom soon began inspecting the new veil, with the biggest smile.  Lauren surprised her mom with a gift, that brought her mom to tears once again.  Lauren commissioned an artist to paint a portrait of Lauren, her mom and her sister, all in their wedding gowns.  It was such a thoughtful and sincere gift.

Next, Lauren shared a first look with Coleton’s mom and sister!  They were both so excited and shed the happiest of tears as they turned around and saw Lauren as a radiant bride.  Lauren had a full timeline of revels!  Her bridesmaids were up next for a reveal.  They cheered in excitement as they all saw Lauren in her dress for the first time. Before heading out to the first look with Coleton, Lauren had one more reveal to do with the groomsmen.  As they all turned around, she held up packs of Smirnoff Ice.  All the groomsmen were shocked and instantly began chugging the drink.

We were off to the River Access for a first look!  Coleton patiently waited by the river for Lauren to arrive.  The two shared a private first look with the beautiful Missouri Capitol in the background.  Coleton smiled from ear to ear when he turned around and witnessed Lauren as a bride.  We slid right into bride and groom portraits, and these two made our job a piece of cake.  Anything we asked them to do, they did so with a smile!

Back at Capital Bluffs, Lauren’s dad was waiting to share a first look with his daughter.  They shared an emotional, tear-filled first look outside of the venue.  It was such a special moment!  After family formal portraits, it was time to prepare for the ceremony.  Lauren and Coleton shared in a short, but sweet ceremony inside of Capital Bluffs.  Immediately following the ceremony, they loaded up the party bus and headed downtown for portraits.

Coleton had quite a large groom party with 14 groomsmen, but we handled the situation with ease!  Everyone was so easy to work with and made our time downtown fun! Lauren and all her bridesmaids were singing at the top of their lungs, all while laughing and giggling. We stole the bride and groom away for a few more just married portraits at the capitol, before heading back to the reception.

Guests were so excited as Lauren and Coleton were announced first into the celebration!  They wanted to make sure they could watch all of the entrances from the bridal party.  Their family and friends went all out for their entrances and had people cracking up laughing.  They kicked the evening celebrating off with cake cutting a toasts.  After dinner, we ventured back outside during golden hour for the last bride and groom portraits of the day.  Trees were just beginning to bloom on the property, making for beautiful sunset portraits.

Inside, the night festivities got kicked off with first dances!  The night was filled with fun songs and a packed dance floor.  We ended our time outside the venue with one final shot with the bride and groom!  Lauren and Coleton are such a fun couple and are surrounded by so much love from all of their family and friends.  We enjoyed every second of their wedding day!

Lauren and Coleton, thank you so much for allowing me and my team the privilege to document your wedding day memories!  We had so much fun on your day.  We want to wish you both the absolute best as you begin this new journey as newlyweds.  Congratulations again to Mr. & Mrs. Rademan!
