As a creative, it is so important to be involved in shoots that make your soul happy. This shoot has been in the works for so long and we are so excited to share a romantic vow renewal inspired shoot we had the opportunity to photograph in June.

The STYLE AND THE VISION

We had been dreaming up ideas for our first styled shoot for many months. We wanted to create a shoot that embodied a timeless romantic feel. We chose a soft color palette with shades of white and ivory. We wanted to keep our palette simple, so we added in green to accent our shades of white. We teamed up with some of the most talented artists in the area to create this timeless vow renewal inspired shoot. Together, each and every vendor helped pull our vision together.

OUR COUPLE

We envisioned an intimate vow renewal shoot in beautiful location with the focus on celebrating two people who are madly in love. Our expectations were far exceeded when we selected our best friends to model for the shoot. Their love story is one for the ages. Lindsey and Jared are high school sweethearts who have defied the odds. Lindsey and Jared have not only grown up together, they now get to grow old together. They dated 10 years before officially tying the knot in June of 2016. After one year of marriage, we knew they would be the perfect fit for our vow renewal inspired shoot at Kempker’s Back 40.

THE BRIDAL SUITE

All of the gorgeous details were captured in the bridal room at Cantebury Hill Winery in Holts summit. The room is the perfect space for any bride to get ready for the day. The beautiful windows provide natural light photographers love.

THE LOOK

Alyssa with Marshall and Company created a beautiful natural look for our bride. She did an amazing job on the hair and makeup. Belle Mariie’s Bridal thought of everything when getting our bride and groom ready for our vow renewal inspired shoot. The dress fit our bride perfectly. She looked stunning in the gorgeous lace high neck wedding dress. Our groom looked very dapper in his fitted gray suit. Their looks were complete with a trendy ivory and green bouquet and succulent boutonniere provided from Tiger Gardens.

THE VENUE

We chose a dreamy spot on top of a hill at Kempker’s Back 40 to place the handcrafted arbor built by my grandfather. Just before sunset, Lindsey and Jared shared in an intimate vow renewal ceremony where they professed sweet promises to one another. The beautiful Back 40 barn provided the perfect backdrop for an intimate reception for our couple. A large farm table draped in green garland with pretty ivory florals set the tone for a romantic dinner. The table was set with white glassware and accented with metallic gold and rose gold pieces. The Ink Café created trendy place settings with handwritten names on white tiles. The place settings were complete with intricate glass menus. Kempker’s Back 40 has thought of everything to provide couples with the most perfect day. We ended our styled shoot with sunset portraits in a gorgeous field of wild flowers.
