Mr. & Mrs. Weaver | Capital Bluffs Event Center | Jefferson City, Missouri Wedding

Lauren and Dalton were married on Saturday May 4 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Jefferson City, Missouri!  Their lively reception followed at Capital Bluffs Event Center.  All week, the forecast was calling for rain and possible storms for the majority of Saturday.  Luckily for Lauren and Dalton, when we arrived on their wedding day it was bright and sunny!  The weather would take a turn later in the day, but it never dampened our portrait time.  On the morning of the wedding, Lauren and all her gals were preparing for the big day at Capital Bluffs Event Center.  The hair and makeup team was hard at work ensuring that everyone looked absolutely perfect.

Dalton and his crew were enjoying a wedding day breakfast at his parents house.  After breakfast, Dalton and all the guys made their way to the venue where they suited up for the day ahead.  After a morning full of energy, it was finally time for Lauren to slip into her gorgeous lace gown.  Once she was fastened into the gown with the help of her mom, and the sleeves were in place, she glided out of the bridal suite looking radiant as ever.  She did a grand reveal with all her bridesmaids!  They cheered in excitement as they saw Lauren in her dress for the first time.

Next, she shared a darling first look with her dad!  He didn’t think he would cry, but as soon as Lauren tapped his shoulder, he spun around and was immediately overcome with emotion.  The two shared a loving hug and her dad looked so proud!  We dashed off to the Missouri capitol for portraits.  It was still sunny and beautiful out before the ceremony.  Lauren and her bridesmaids all looked stunning!  After bridesmaids portraits, Lauren was off to church for the ceremony.  Once she was out of sight, Dalton and the guys were up next for portrait time.  We quickly took photos of the lively crew before making our way to church.

By this time, thick dark clouds began to roll in.  We were hopeful all the rain would happen while we were indoors.  At 2pm, the ceremony began.  Lauren was escorted down the aisle by her father, and Dalton waited at the front of the alter in anticipation.  They shared in a traditional Catholic mass.  Within the hour, they were pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Weaver!  Hand-in-hand, they made their way back up the aisle as husband and wife.

After the ceremony, the afternoon was full of portraits.  When we arrived back at the capital, it was extremely dark and eery looking outside.  It looked as if the clouds could unleash a ton of rain at any second.  Luck was on our side that afternoon and it only sprinkled here and there.  Eventually the dark clouds parted just after bridal party portraits, and the skies began to clear and became brighter again.  It was just in time for the bride and groom portraits!

We strolled around the capital with the newlyweds taking their portraits as the basked in the happiness of that “just married” feeling!  Lauren and Dalton are such naturals in front of the camera, whether they believe that or not; they truly made our job so easy.  Lauren looked elegant as ever and Dalton complemented her in his dapper attire!  We finished portraits earlier than expected.  Just in time because the capital grounds began to fill up with prom goers in every direction.  The bridal party enjoyed riding around on their party bus while guests waited back at Capital Bluffs for their grand arrival.

They were announced in and guests rose to their feet as Lauren and Dalton made their way through the venue looking happy as ever!  It was time to officially get the party kicked off.  After toasts and the cake cutting, dinner was served.  Later, Lauren and Dalton would share their first dance as husband and wife.  After the traditional dances, guests flocked to the dance floor after a few songs and the DJ kept a packed dance floor!

Lauren and Dalton, thank you for trusting me and my team to document your wedding day memories!  Day on of your marriage was one for the books and we had so much fun celebrating your love story!  You both are surrounded by so much love and support from family and friends.  We want to wish you two the absolute best as you begin this new chapter as Mr. & Mrs. Weaver!  Congratulations again!
