Mr. & Mrs. Mihalevich | The Millbottom Wedding

Kelly and Zach had a beautiful wedding day in Jefferson City, Missouri at the Millbottom!  We started the day at the Millbottom photographing the reception details and Kelly’s timeliness bridal details.  I loved their black and white color palette!  Everything was perfectly put together.  Kelly and her girls were just upstairs in the loft getting ready with hair and makeup.  Everyone was so excited and Kelly was calm and collected when I first saw her on the wedding day!  Before we knew it, it was time to get Kelly in her gown.  We snapped a few photos of her and her gals in matching robes, and then her mom helped her into the gown.

Kelly selected such timeless jewelry and a simple veil to finish off the bridal look!  Her mom tried not to tear up during the last touches of getting Kelly ready for the day!  She looked so proud witnessing her daughter as a beautiful bride.  Kelly shared a first look with her bridesmaids, and then shared a sweet first look with her dad.  He was nervous as he turned around, but immediately had the biggest grin on his face as soon as he saw Kelly!  It was time for Kelly and Zach to finally see one another.  We met Zach over at the Missouri Capitol where he shared a quick first look with his mom.

Kelly glided over to Zach and we got her set in place.  As she tapped Zach’s shoulder, he paused for a second and took a breath before turning around.  As soon as he laid eyes on Kelly, he was overcome with emotion!  The two shared personal hand written vows during the first look.  The vows had the crying one second and smiling ear to ear the next!  These two really do share something so special!  After the first look, we dove right into bride & groom portraits.  Kelly and Zach were troopers because the temps and humidity were high.  With water breaks and and battery powered fan, we made it through!  You truly cannot tell how hot it was outside by looking at the photos.

Kelly and Zach made my job so easy!  Their love and their connection is one to be admired!  You can just tell they enjoy being around one another, so documenting that love is effortless.  Their giddiness was palpable and I just couldn’t get enough of these two!  They truly are such a sweet couple!  After bride & groom portraits, the bridal party joined them for portraits.  They have such a fun close-knit group of friends!  We had so much fun working with everyone.  Zach’s friends brought all the antics and kept him cracking up laughing.  Kelly’s gals hyped her up all day!  Back at the Millbottom, guests began arriving for the ceremony.

Kelly and Zach shared in a short but sweet ceremony at The Millbottom!  Zach teared up as Kelly walked down the aisle. Proof that your guy can still be just as emotional at the aisle as he is if you share a first look prior to the ceremony.  They were pronounced husband and wife and happily dashed back down the aisle!  After family formals and cocktail hour, Kelly and Zach were announced into the reception.  Their bridal party hyped them up and everyone was high fiving!

Kelly and Zach slid right into their first dance as husband and wife just before dinner!  Guests enjoyed a home-cooked meal by the bride’s dad, Jeff!  After dinner, several funny and sentimental toasts were delivered.  Kelly shared a first dance with her dad, and Zach with his mom!  It was fianlly time to kick of the party.  DJ Shark Attack really got the vibes up and had the dance floor full all night!  Just before leaving, we whisked Kelly and Zach away for a few “Sunset portraits.”  The sun wasn’t really out, but the photos still turned out beautifully!  I loved working this day with such wonderful people!  It was truly perfect from beginning to end!

Kelly and Zach, thank you so much for allowing me and my team to have an up front seat to it all!  We loved witnessing your day and documenting it all.  It’s been such a pleasure working with you both!  Congratulations on your new chapter as husband and wife!  Enjoy some of my favorites from the day!
