The last day of November took an unexpected turn, as we woke up to the ground covered in a blanket of snow. What started as a crisp fall morning quickly turned into a winter wonderland, adding an extra layer of charm to the day. With snow-covered roads ahead of us, we cautiously made our way to the venue from Columbia, Missouri. As we neared Excello, Missouri, the roads cleared up, and we were able to breathe easy knowing that we would make it to document Morgan and Jake’s special day!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the buzzing energy of the Wright Pro Weddings team, led by Madyson, who was busy making sure every detail was perfect. Morgan and Jake had chosen a timeless black and white color palette for their wedding, and it set the tone for the elegant, high-end affair that was about to unfold. The venue was transformed into a romantic haven—rich white floral arrangements, candles glowing softly throughout the space, and a chic atmosphere that was as classy as it was welcoming. Guests were asked to wear formal black attire, adding to the event’s sophisticated elegance.
I began the day capturing Morgan’s bridal details, and it was clear from the very start that every item had been carefully chosen. Morgan has exquisite taste, and it was evident in the carefully curated pieces that made her vision come to life. From sentimental heirlooms to brand-new additions, everything about her bridal details was a dream to photograph.
As Morgan and her bridal party arrived, the energy in the bridal suite was palpable. Everyone was trying to grab a quick bite to eat before we snapped a few portraits of them in their cozy matching sweatsuits. Morgan’s mom, Jennifer, helped her get ready. As Morgan slid into her timeless wedding gown, she and her mom were all smiles. With the jewelry and veil added, Morgan looked every bit the radiant bride she was meant to be. It was a beautiful moment for Jennifer, watching her daughter transform into a stunning bride! When Morgan stepped out for her grand reveal, the room erupted into cheers! The bridal party gathered around her in a massive group hug, and it was impossible not to get emotional as the happiest tears filled the room.
Downstairs, Morgan’s dad, Bob, was eagerly waiting to see his daughter for the first time that day. As Morgan tapped him on the shoulder, his face lit up, and the floodgates opened. The emotional embrace between father and daughter was a moment I’ll never forget. It was clear just how proud Bob was to see Morgan in her wedding gown as a beautiful bride. Jake also got ready for the day with the help of his loving parents. Once his tie was in place and the boutonnière added, he looked incredibly dapper in his black tuxedo, ready for the day ahead.
Despite the cold temperatures, Morgan and Jake were determined to have their first look outdoors in the beautiful winter landscape. As they stood together for the first time that day, Jake’s nerves and excitement were palpable. When he turned to see Morgan in her gown, his awe was visible, and it was one of those rare, beautiful moments where words can’t capture the emotion. The couple hugged, kissed, laughed, and cried—such a raw, unfiltered expression of their love.
Morgan, ever the adventurous spirit, even ventured into the snow-covered grass to capture some breathtaking portraits. The soft glow of the afternoon light, combined with the snowy backdrop, made for some truly magical shots! Their connection was so natural and easy to document, as it was clear just how much they were in love.
Though the temperature continued to drop, we were able to capture more portraits of the bridal party outside before heading indoors to warm up. Emerson Fields was the perfect venue for a winter wedding, offering a stunning indoor setting that allowed us to create beautiful portraits without sacrificing any of the elegance we were going for. The stage, with its soft lighting and intricate design, provided the perfect backdrop for formal bridal party shots. Later, we stole Morgan and Jake away once more for some intimate portraits by the lake. It was getting colder by the minute, but these portraits were so worth it! Sometimes, braving the chill makes for the most unforgettable moments, and we couldn’t have been happier with how they turned out.
One of the things I loved most about Morgan and Jake’s wedding day was the pacing. They had opted for a later ceremony start time, giving them plenty of time to relax and unwind before the ceremony. The intimate setting of the venue, adorned with floating candles and lush white florals, created the perfect ambiance for their romantic ceremony.
As Morgan walked down the aisle with both her parents, she was overcome with emotion. It was such a beautiful moment—seeing her teary-eyed as she was escorted by both her mom and dad. Jake couldn’t wait to be hand in hand with his elegant bride. The ceremony was officiated by Morgan’s parents, making it even more special. Their vows were heartfelt, and the moment they exchanged rings and shared their first kiss as husband and wife was nothing short of magical!
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour while the team at Wright Pro Weddings transformed the venue into a stunning reception space. The sweetheart table, flanked by two king’s tables adorned with candles and baby’s breath, was the focal point of the room.
Toasts were made, and as Morgan and Jake shared their first dance, the crowd erupted in applause. Their dance was full of emotion, dips, spins, and lifts, creating a buzz of excitement among their guests. The DJ invited both sets of parents to join them on the dance floor, which added an even more emotional layer to the night. The father-daughter and mother-son dances followed, bringing even more tears and heartfelt moments.
The love and support from their families and friends were evident throughout the evening. It was clear that Morgan and Jake are surrounded by a strong, loving community, and it was such an honor to document their wedding day.
Morgan and Jake’s wedding was one of those magical days where every detail came together perfectly! From the stunning decor to the emotional moments shared between the couple and their families, it was clear that these two are truly meant to be. I feel so blessed to have been a part of this beautiful day, and I wish them nothing but love and happiness as they begin this new chapter as husband and wife. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Ryno!
