We spent a cold and chilly November day with such a wonderful couple! Close family and friends gathered at the Millbottom in Jefferson City, Missouri to celebrate the love of Chris and Heidi! I think November 18 may have been one of the most cold and windy wedding days yet. The dreary weather did not halt Heidi and Chris from sharing in an amazing day. It’s no secret that we are suckers for fall, and Heidi’s gorgeous fall bouquet did not disappoint with shades of orange, yellow, and maroon! Her vibrant fall bouquet was all we needed to add a little bit of color back into the day. The day began with the bridal details. Heidi has a style we love. Her classic black and white invitation suite had us swooning and we adored the simple elegance of all of her details.
Anticipation was building and the time had finally come for Heidi to get into her wedding gown. She stepped into her beautiful wedding gown, and everyone in the room couldn’t help but smile at the beaming bride. Heidi was absolutely glowing as her mom and bridesmaids helped her into the gown. Laughter filled the room and the joy we witnessed was one of the sweetest moments of the day. The moment for Heidi and Chris to say ‘I Do’ was just around the corner. The bridal party made their way to the Millbottom for the ceremony.
Chris stood under the arbor draped in floral fall decor and anxiously waited for his bride to make her debut. It was the moment everyone had been waiting for! Heidi looked absolutely gorgeous and when Chris caught her gaze, you couldn’t wipe the grin off of his face. It’s as if no one else was in the room as the pair locked eyes and Heidi gracefully made her way down the aisle. Heidi and Chris shared in a beautiful ceremony at the Millbottom. The pastor shared stories of how the couple met and came to be! The two met while working at the Capitol building in Jefferson City. Eventually, Chris gained the courage to ask Heidi on a date. A first date to Painted Rock, a beautiful conservation area, would lead to many more dates. Heidi and Chris compliment one another so well. You couldn’t find a more perfect match. Friends and family looked so happy as they witnessed the two say their vows and exchange rings. A kiss was shared and the crowd cheered as Mr. and Mrs. Sutherland made their way back down the aisle.
After the ceremony, family and friends shared in a short reception. The Millbottom was so gorgeous with all of the fall décor! Heidi and Chris had such a fabulous idea of having pies for their centerpieces. We know guests enjoyed the tasty treats! The cold fall evening was spent listening to piano melodies played by a live pianist. The day may have been a cold and chilly one, but the sun peaked out from behind the clouds just in time for sunset. The darling pair shared a sweet kiss outside of their reception space just as we ended our time with them.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a special day! We wish Heidi and Chris the absolute best as they begin their new journey together as husband and wife! Thank you for allowing us to be part of day one of your marriage. You two are and amazing pair! Enjoy some of our favorites from their beautiful fall wedding day!
