Soleil and Caleb’s wedding day was full of so much joy with a little bit of Missouri summer heat thrown in for good measure! From getting ready in downtown Springfield to sunset portraits overlooking the rolling Ozark hills, their entire day was beautiful from beginning to end! We started the morning in downtown Springfield, Missouri, where Soleil and her girls were getting ready in the cutest Airbnb loft. The space was buzzing with excitement when we arrived as hair and makeup wrapped up and everyone prepared for the day ahead. Soleil was surrounded by her mom, her bridesmaids, and her adorable little girl, which made those quiet getting ready moments even sweeter!
The loft itself was such a beautiful backdrop for photos. Natural brick, huge windows, and tons of gorgeous natural light filled the space. Eventually, it was time for Soleil to step into her wedding dress with the help of her mom. Watching everything finally come together is always one of my favorite parts of a wedding morning, and Soleil looked absolutely stunning! Once everyone was ready, we headed to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Springfield, where Caleb was waiting for his beautiful bride! Before the ceremony, Soleil and Caleb shared a first look outside the church beneath the trees. And despite temperatures reaching into the high 90s that day, you would seriously never know it looking at these two!
Caleb’s reaction when he turned around and saw Soleil was one of my favorite moments of the day! His entire face lit up, and he could not wipe the smile off of it. Soleil was just as excited to finally see him, and the two of them immediately fell into the sweetest smiles and laughter together! After their first look, we grabbed a few bride and groom portraits before bringing out the bridesmaids and groomsmen. With the heat being as intense as it was, we worked quickly to get everyone back into the air conditioning, and this entire group handled it like champs!
Soon, it was time for the ceremony. Soleil and Caleb were married during a beautiful traditional Catholic Mass surrounded by their closest family and friends! After exchanging vows and rings and officially becoming husband and wife, the newly pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Albertson made their way back up the aisle together with the biggest smiles on their faces! After a few more family portraits, everyone headed south toward Walnut Shade, Missouri, just outside of Branson, for the reception at Graystone Valley! And what a gorgeous venue!
Graystone Valley is tucked into the beautiful Ozark landscape, with an entire wall of windows overlooking the surrounding scenery. After arriving, we headed outside with the full wedding party for a few quick portraits before giving everyone another break from the heat. Then it was time for the newlywed portraits at this stunning venue! These two made my job incredibly easy! They were cute, giddy, and constantly laughing together. They are also both ridiculously photogenic, seriously, you cannot take a bad photo of them!
Back inside, guests welcomed the newlyweds into their reception before Soleil and Caleb cut their wedding cake and everyone settled in for dinner. After dinner, the light outside had softened, so we stole the two of them away for one more round of portraits, and I am SO glad we did! The evening light over the Ozarks was beautiful!! With the rolling hills stretching out behind them and the harsh afternoon sun finally fading, it was the perfect setting for sunset portraits! Soleil and Caleb were happy as ever, soaking up a few quiet moments together in the middle of such a busy day. Photographing the two of them was genuinely so much fun!
We headed back inside for toasts that had the room laughing and smiling before Soleil and Caleb took the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. And once the DJ opened up the dance floor, everyone was ready to party! The rest of the evening was filled with dancing, laughing, mingling, and celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Albertson! The dance floor stayed packed, and it was the perfect ending to such a joyful day.
Soleil and Caleb, we absolutely loved getting to be a part of your wedding day. From the morning in the airbnb in the Springfield loft to running around the Ozarks in nearly 100 degree weather and ending the evening on a packed dance floor, it was such a beautiful celebration of the two of you!
We wish you both nothing but happiness as you step into this next chapter together. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Albertson!
