Ever since we met Danielle and Jason at their consultation, we have been counting down the days to their engagement session. We just had a feeling these two would be naturals in front of the camera, and boy were we right! On a gorgeous spring evening in May, we met Danielle and Jason at Cooper’s Ridge for their engagement session. This new wedding venue is absolutely beautiful and made for the perfect backdrop for their portraits. The property boasts several acres of fields, a pond, and many tall trees. The light streamed perfectly through the leaves of the green trees, and had us loving every snap of the shutter! You cannot go wrong with warm temperatures, beautiful natural light, and a gorgeous couple in front of your lens. As if the session wasn’t already perfect, Danielle and Jason had their sweet pups Phoebe and Winston join in some of the portraits! They were so energetic, but once we got them cuddled up next to mom and dad, they behaved really well and we were able to grab a few pup portraits! How cute is this adorable family of four!?
We just loved every minute of this session. Danielle and Jason are such a lovely pair! It was adorable to see these two interacting during the session. You can just see the love they share in every image! Jason keeps his girl smiling and giggling! Danielle loves that Jason never fails to make her laugh and she can always be her authentic self around him. It’s so obvious that these two are meant for one another. They both have such loving and caring personalities! They just click!
Danielle and Jason have such an adorable love story! Danielle has been best friends with Jason’s sister Sarah for years. She doesn’t remember the exact moment they met, all she remembers is always thinking he was an attractive guy. Until August of 2015 Danielle and Jason had only seen each other in passing. That was all about to change. Jason finally got the courage to ask Danielle on a date. He took her to a nice restaurant in Columbia. The two both recall being very nervous at first. After dinner, they hit up the movie theater and finally felt more relaxed and things just clicked for them! They both knew early on in the relationship that they had found their perfect person! After dating nearly two and a half years, Jason knew it was time to ask Danielle a very important question. Jason wanted to surprise Danielle, so one evening, just before leaving their house to see a movie, he called Danielle outside. When she opened the door, Jason was down on one knee and asked her to be his wife!! Danielle was so shocked and realized that is why Jason had been acting so weird all day. She said yes!! and the two shared the special moment with their sweet pups at their first home together!
We had so much fun with these two during their session and we cannot wait to have them back in front of our lens in February for their special day! We had such a hard time choosing favorites since there were just so many good ones! Enjoy some of our favorites from their beautiful engagement session!
