Engagement sessions are one of our favorite times with couples because it gives them a chance to be in front of our camera before the wedding day! Most couples show up with nerves and wonder how the session will go. It didn’t take long for Amanda and Andrew to warm up to the camera. Within minutes, their nerves faded away and they were such naturals. We are so excited to share their fun engagement session with you all!
Devin and I recently celebrated our first year of marriage and we had the pleasure of spending two hours of our special day with this gorgeous couple. We couldn’t have asked for a better couple to photograph on our anniversary. These two rocked it out of the park. They came prepared with so many wonderful ideas. We love when a couple decides to incorporate creative ideas for their session! They are both creative at heart, so we were floored when they pulled out a vintage desk with paint and art supplies to incorporate in their session. Amanda admired Andrew as he created his art piece! Such a cute idea and it really showed a cute side of them!
We had a beautiful overcast day for their engagement session. We began their session at Grindstone Nature Area. Amanda and Andrew were so adorable as they frolicked on the bridge. Andrew always keeps Amanda smiling and it is so refreshing to see. These two are so giddy around each other they just cannot wipe the smiles off of their faces. They laughed and enjoyed each other’s company the entire time. There were many times during the session that they were so lost in the moment, we think they forgot we were there! The way they interact is just adorable. We felt privileged to get to know them during the engagement session.
We ended their session at the Martin Luther King, JR Memorial at Battle Garden. They couldn’t have selected a more perfect second location. Everything at this park is landscaped beautifully. The plants there made a great backdrop for their ring shots. We LOVE Amanda’s engagement ring! It’s so unique; the rose gold band really makes the ring stand out. We thought it was so cute that both Amanda and Andrew wear an engagement ring. It’s not very often that the groom wears a ring before the wedding. This is something we absolutely love! We think it’s so sweet that Andrew wears a rose gold band that coordinates with his fiancés.
As we made our way back to the car at the end of the session, Amanda spotted a rainbow in the sky! How lucky can you get? It’s not very often that you get to take your final engagement portrait with a rainbow in the background! We enjoyed our time with Amanda and Andrew and we couldn’t be more excited for their September wedding day! Enjoy some of our favorites from their engagement session.
