Chelsea and Daniel were married on January 1st in an intimate ceremony officiated by her brother. The two said their “I Do’s” in a romantic backyard setting. Tree branches were wrapped in glistening Christmas lights and tulle adorned their archway creating a beautiful centerpiece for the ceremony. Daniel’s son Clark stood at his side with a ring box in hand and watched them recite their vows. Their immediate family sat on benches outside and watched as the two devoted their lives to one another.
We absolutely adore weddings. It’s a day to celebrate the couple with their closest family and friends. It’s such a joyful occasion. The people who love you the most surround you. That’s what wedding days are all about; Being encompassed by everyone who has cheered you along in life, and who have witnessed you grow up to become the person you are today.
Chelsea had a very special relationship with her grandmother. She wanted nothing more than to have her grandmother watch as she walked down the aisle. When they found out her grandmother was sick, they ultimately decided to move the wedding date up so she could be there on the wedding day. In a touching, tender moment, Chelsea and her grandmother held hands just before the ceremony on the wedding day.
Their wedding day was full of sentimental details. The bracelet she wore was the same bracelet her grandmother wore years before. Her pearl necklace was made with pearls that were given to her each year for birthdays and special occasions. She had a six pence in her shoe for good luck. It was the same one her mother had in her shoe on her wedding day. Her wedding dress belt was our favorite detail from the day. Her grandmother created a masterpiece, as she had hand stitched the beads onto the vibrant yellow ribbon. So much care and thought was put into every little detail.
As photographers, our mission is to create timeless memories for the couples we serve. We feel so lucky to document such special moments and occasions. When we capture wedding portraits, we are preserving memories that can be treasured and passed down for years to come. You never know when your last moment with a loved one will be. Photographs allow you to keep the memory of your loved one alive even after they are no longer here.
We wish Chelsea and Daniel the absolute best in life as they begin this new journey. We cannot wait to celebrate again in October. This time, you’ll have a new angel looking down over you!
