We have been waiting for spring to arrive, and now that it’s finally here, engagement sessions are in full swing! We had a wonderful engagement session yesterday evening with beautiful golden light and and adorable couple. Down town Jefferson City created the perfect backdrop for portraits of our couple in love! We first met with Kayla and Shane in January and from the moment we met them, we couldn’t wait for their engagement session. These two are just one-of-a-kind and their love story is just the sweetest. Kayla and Shane went to the same high school but never dated until they were in college. As fate would have it, Kayla and her friends showed up to Shane’s mom’s wedding uninvited. That night, Shane had his eye on Kayla and the rest is history! The pair began talking, and a few months later, they officially began dating. They shared four years together before Shane popped the question. Shane decided to surprise Kayla with breakfast and mimosas on Christmas morning. Kayla works night shifts at a hospital, and when she arrived home from a long shift, shane had breakfast waiting for her with a ring around the neck of the wine bottle. How romantic!
Kayla and Shane knocked their engagement session out of the park! They were dressed to perfection and we were so impressed with how they effortless fell in to poses without much coaching. They are just naturals! Kayla and Shane are such a sweet pair and they made our job so easy. Shane always kept Kayla laughing; her eyes would just light up when he would whisper sweet nothings into her ear. We were so excited to learn that Kayla and Shane wanted to include their sweet lab pup Bourbon in their portrait session. He tagged along and behaved like a champ! He even wore the cutest sign to announce their wedding date! We love when couples add personal touches to engagement sessions. We cannot wait for their wedding day later this fall!
