We always ask our couples how they met and we love the responses and stories we get to hear. They don’t remember the exact moment they met. They just recall always being around each other. Lauren and Jordan met each other at Helias while attending high school together. They dated throughout their high school years and continued dating when they went off to college. Now, their love story is about to take on forever.
We adore learning about our couple’s love story, and we especially love hearing about how he asked. Jordan popped the question on a dock while fishing with Lauren earlier this spring. We were thrilled when the two decided to take their engagement portraits at the same farm in Tebbetts, Missouri where Jordan asked Lauren to marry him.
We just love fall. In our opinion, it’s the best time of the year. You can’t go wrong with the crisp fall air, the beautiful fall colors, and the warm cozy fall outfits! We had such a pretty fall day in October for their session. The vibrant fall foliage made for the perfect backdrop. At some points it was warmer than to be desired, but that didn’t stop us for capturing the love between these two.
We love capturing authentic, raw, and candid moments. Those are the moments that really show the love and connection between two people. Sometimes, in order to capture these moments, we have to make them do goofy things. When we asked Lauren and Jordan to frolic, they looked at us like we were crazy. We just instructed them to move about cheerfully and energetically. It was probably the funniest thing I have seen at a session. Jordan had Lauren laughing the entire time. Those are the best moments!
