Lindsey and Levi are engaged! I had the best time with them for their winter engagement session. Typically sessions are closed for the season, but Lindsey and Levi are getting married in March 2022, so we had to make an exception. Lucky for us, the weather felt more like fall than winter the day of the session. I met these two in downtown Jefferson City for the first half of the session. The Governor’s Garden ended up making for the perfect backdrop for Lindsey and Levi as they cozied up with one another for the portraits. Next, we ventured to Tebbetts, Missouri where Lindsey and Levi live. Their darling house was built in the early 1900s and sits on a couple hundred acres of farmland right by the river. I enjoyed seeing all their property had to offer as we chased the gorgeous sunlight. Their session had me so excited to photograph them again in a few short months for the wedding day!
How They Met
Lindsey and Levi met through mutual friends on the river in the summer of 2016. They instantly hit it off and before too long, they would share a first date together. Tebbetts would be where their love first blossomed. Lindsey and Levi rode around in Levi’s truck one evening as the sun was going down. The sunset that night looked like the American flag, so the two stopped and documented the special moment with a picture. During the sunset, Levi tried to “arm wrestle” Lindsey just so he had a sly way of holding her hand in the moment. Lindsey remembers the night perfectly and remembers feeling so happy and lucky to be cruising around with Levi. They were having so much fun together that time was flying by. These two burned up the backroads until very late in the night. It was the perfect beginning for Lindsey and Levi!
Lindsey always knew Levi was her guy, but that would all be even more solidified in 2020. Lindsey had a rough year losing many family members and it took a toll on their relationship. Together, Lindsey and Levi had to work extra hard though the tough times and it ultimately helped them both learn a lot from each other in the process. All in all, Lindsey and Levi are a perfect match for one another. She loves how Levi always pushes her outside of her comfort zone in the best way possible. Whether it be spending time with each other on the farm, riding along with each other on the combine, hunting, or going on the river, Lindsey and Levi are always side by side.
How He Asked
Lindsey and Levi left their Family thanksgiving and one of their good friends came over to the house. Levi proposed to Lindsey in their kitchen. Nothing crazy special, but totally Levi!! Congratulations again to Lindsey and Levi. We are so excited to celebrate their wedding day in March.
