I have been fascinated with wedding photographs for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would always look through my grandparents 1957 wedding album. It amazed me that through those photos, I was getting a glimpse back in time that I would have never seen, had it not been for the photographs taken on their wedding day. I would immerse myself in those old photographs and admire the love my grandparents shared then and the even deeper love I see between them today.
Seeing old photos definitely sparked something in me at a very young age and today, celebrating special seasons of love with joy filled couples is truly one of my favorite things. I feel beyond honored for every opportunity when I get to do so!
My Top Five
1. God will always come first and I trust in Him with my life and this business. He continues to bless my business and I have been given the opportunity to serve so many wonderful couples. I am convinced we have the Best Couples Ever!
2. My perfect day consists of spending time with my sweet pup Charli cuddled up on the couch with a warm blanket, watching The Bachelor, Bachelorette, or any reality tv for that matter-it’s seriously my guilty pleasure, and eating my favorite dish from noodles and company-I have an obsession with Pasta Fresca.
3. I guess you could say I’m a bit of a night owl! You’ll find me doing my best work in the evenings and at night. I have just never been a fan of mornings. I cannot convince myself that waking up early is worth it. Believe me, I’ve tried; it’s just a battle that won’t be won!
4. I would be lost without music. Ever since I was a young child, I have been fascinated with music and it’s ability to instantly launch me into a good mood! Most of our engagement sessions and weddings are edited while singing at the top of my lungs to my favorite artists. You’ll always find Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Olivia Rodrigo songs on my playlist!
5. I love most all things creative! Before photography became my career, I always thought I would pursue interior design. I enjoy interior decorating and making our house feel like a home! I enjoy doing many DIY projects. I love restoring old and outdated furniture, giving it new life. Antiquing and bargain shopping quickly became one of my favorite pass times. You could say HGTV is my favorite channel. I had a slight obsession with Fixer upper.
