Michael + Tennille | Engaged

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for Tennille and Michael’s engagement session. We were blessed with a gorgeous sunny day in March. We knew as soon as we began teaching them our main poses, the session was going to be a piece of cake. They both have such vibrant and fun personalities and it shows in their portraits.  They are so adorable and giddy around one another; it’s hard not to smile when you are with them.   Both Tennille and Michael attended and graduated from the University of Missouri. It made perfect sense that we begin the session at their old stomping grounds. We enjoyed strolling around some of the well-known areas on Mizzou campus.

Next, we headed to Capen Park where their two little fur babies joined us.   We have a special place in our hearts for dogs, and we absolutely love when couples decide to bring their fur babies to a session. Their two Shih Tzu pups prepared for their debut by getting groomed earlier in the week. They couldn’t have behaved any better! They were such angels and posed perfectly anytime we said, “treat.”

These two exude such a genuine connection. They have so much fun around each other one minute, and they can be snuggled up and romantic the next moment. We love photographing couples interacting with one another; Tennille and Michael were down for anything we threw their way. We love the joyful images we were able to capture when we had them dance, frolic, and just be fun with one another.

For the last portraits of the evening, they changed into their Duke T-shirts. You might be wondering how they are Duke fans considering they both went to Mizzou. Tennille says after she invested so much time watching the Duke basketball games with Michael, she inevitably became a fan!

It is so obvious these two are crazy for each other. We are so glad we were able to capture them during this special season of life! We are looking forward to their July Wedding day. We know the day will come together beautifully.
