Tucked away in alleyways, nestled in the heart of downtown Columbia, we photographed one of the most lovely couples! Michelle and Kyle came dressed to impress and knocked their session out of the park! Their nerves quickly melted away and Michelle and Kyle were completely comfortable in front of our cameras. They shared so many sweet moments during the session. We love how relaxed they are with one another. Kyle knows all the right things to say to keep Michelle smirking. Every time he pulled her in close, Michelle’s eyes would just light up! Their love is so evident! We live for sessions with madly in love couples who can completely relax and be themselves in front of the camera. Michelle and Kyle did just that their entire session. They laughed, they joked, and they shared many intimate and sweet moments. These two adore each other and we feel so honored to be photographing them during such a sweet season of life. We always love to hear about how our couples met and ultimately became engaged. Michelle and Kyle share an adorable love story!
They spent an entire season together in Marching Mizzou without ever meeting each other. It wasn’t until an international trip that took the two to Ireland, that they would finally meet. Crammed on a bus to Chicago before they boarded their flight to Ireland, Michelle was introduced to Kyle through a mutual friend who was also in the drum line with Kyle. After officially meeting in Ireland, the couple embarked on a short lived relationship. They realized the timing was off and decided to go their separate ways. Michelle and Kyle were able to build a strong friendship with each other before finally making it official for the second time. This time around, it was better than ever and they quickly realized they were meant for each other. After dating for three years, Kyle planned the perfect proposal.
Family is very important to both Michelle and Kyle, so he knew he wanted to include them in the proposal. He planned a trip to Holiday Lights in Boonville, Missouri just before Christmas. Michelle became suspicious of Kyle because of how he was acting. She remembers telling him that he is terrible at keeping secrets and she thought to herself that Kyle would probably propose that evening. She was absolutely right! When they finally arrived at Warm Springs Ranch and met up with their families, they got in line to take a group photo with the Clydesdale’s. As they were exiting the picture area, another couple got engaged right in front of the horse! Michelle remembers thinking, thank goodness Kyle didn’t decide to propose in that spot because he would’ve probably ruined that guys night! Then, Kyle suggested that they go outside to the front of the building by all of the lights to take a few more group pictures. This was it!! They walked outside, and Kyle looked at Michelle and gave her a big hug. Before he could even really ask the question, she said yes! Kyle got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked Michelle to marry him! Michelle remembers saying yes at least ten times!
