I met Morgan and Chase at the Governors Garden in Jefferson City, Missouri for their engagement session! It was extremely dreary outside and the overcast skies never parted, but Morgan + Chase’s sweet dynamic shined through. The charming downtown area made fore the perfect backdrop and the Katy Trail bridge was a great grand finale for their session. Spring is here and blooms were making their debut throughout the gardens!
How They Met
Morgan & Chase met sometime while attending high school together. Chase was so quiet, so Morgan would always do all the talking. Eventually, Morgan asked Chase to the Sadie Hawkins dance their senior year of high school. The two would remain friends but never actually dated until many years later.
Morgan counts their first official date as the Cardinal game she and chase went to togehter in September 2022; it was just the two of them! She felt so happy getting to spend time with him and actually getting Chase to talk was great! Morgan got so distracted with talking that she missed the exit on their way home and they had to take a detour back to Union, Missouri. Morgan remembers it being such a great evening and loved how they were just talking the entire time. She felt so happy in that moment that she knew she want Chase to be the one person she married!
How He Asked
It was a Saturday morning, Morgan was working on cleaning up the kitchen from breakfast that morning and she was making bottles too. Chase took their baby, Theo upstairs without Morgan knowing and changed him into a onesie that said “Mommy will you marry my Daddy?” Morgan heard them come downstairs and she turned around and Chase had Theo in one arm and the ring in the other hand. Morgan was so shocked that she didn’t even answer him!
