Mr. and Mrs. Baker | St. Martins Fall Wedding

A cold chilly day was in store for Kayla and Shane’s wedding!  We arrived to their hall and were in awe of the beautifully put together venue.  Everything Kayla had been telling us about their wedding day plans all came together.  The room was stunning and looked exactly as we had been envisioning it would be.  Sparkling rose gold accents could be seen in every direction. Paired with the more rustic antler details, it perfectly meshed Kayla and Shane’s style.

When we arrived to the church were everyone was getting ready, Kayla and her bridesmaids were all smiles.  We began the day with her beautiful details.  We loved the simplicity yet timelessness of every detail she hand selected. Her intricate lace gown was absolutely stunning.  We knew Shane would be blown away when he saw his bride. As the afternoon passed, it was time to get Kayla in her wedding dress.  Her mom and maid of honor helped her into the dress.  Everyone was smiling and telling Kayla how perfect she looked.  She looked stunning from head to toe.  Her mom helped her put the last finishing touches of jewelry on and her look was complete.

Kayla shares a special relationship with her father Darryl, so it was important to her to share a first look with him before it was time to walk down the aisle.  He was already tearing up when we put him in place.  As Kayla walked up behind him, gracefully tapping him on the shoulder, Darryl was overwhelmed with emotion when he turned around.  He embraced Kayla so tight and couldn’t get over the sight of her as a beautiful bride.  Even I found it difficult to capture this moment as I tried to hold back my own tears.  It was such a sweet, sweet moment shared between these two.  This moment will always be something they can treasure.

The time had come for the ceremony.  Family and friends gathered from near and far to celebrate Kayla and Shane.  As sweet tunes were strummed on the guitar and keys were stroked on the piano, the wedding party began to precede down the aisle.  The big moment was finally here and Shane was a ball of nerves.  As soon as Kayla was in his line of sight, his eyes welled up with tears.  Kayla was smiling so big as her father escorted her to her soon to be husband.  They shared in a sweet ceremony and once rings and vows were exchanged, they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Baker.  Family and friends erupted in cheer and applause as they made their way back down the aisle.

We spent the remainder of the day with the bridal party taking portraits.  It was cold and quickly getting darker by the second.  They were all champs as they powered through portrait time in the extremely cold temperatures.  We loved their bridal party and how easy going they all were.  Not once did anyone complain about the temperatures.  They were just all excited to be part of Kayla and Shane’s special day.  Even their adorable dog Bourbon joined in some of the pictures.  He is sweet as can be!  We first met their pup back in March during their engagement session.  He behaved well then and was the same on the wedding day! We love the portraits of Kayla and Shane with Bourbon.

Kayla and Shane are such a lovely pair!  We love how they both adore one another so much.  It’s easy to see that these two will share a long happy marriage together. We cannot wait to see what the future has in store for these two love birds.  Congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Baker. We have loved getting to know you both during this sweet season!

We knew their wedding day would be something special, and it was just that!  From beginning to end, it couldn’t have gone more smoothly!  Despite the very cold temperatures, beautiful moments of a new beginning were captured and we love them so!  Enjoy some of our favorites that tell the story of their wedding day!
