Mackenzie and Johnathan had the most spectacular day from beginning to end! The forecast showed rain for their special day all week; however, on their wedding day, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky! The sun came out and shined all afternoon for portraits and we couldn’t have been happier. We started off the morning at Capital Bluffs where Mackenzie and her bridesmaids were getting ready. We had so much fun photographing all of her pretty bridal details! Every detail selected was gorgeous. We knew the day was shaping up to be an amazing one.
As the hair and makeup team was finishing up with the ladies, we headed outside to join John and the guys on the golf course green. John lined up the shot and stood a few feet from the hole anticipating a great putt. John and his guys all went wild as the golf ball rolled into the hole! Now that the guys were ready for the day and a little fun was had, it was time to get Mackenzie in her wedding gown. We made our way up to the girl’s getting ready space where we were met with lots of laughter and giggles! Mackenzie and her bridesmaids posed for a few portraits in their matching robes before Mackenzie slipped into her beautiful lace wedding gown. Mackenzie’s mom fastened her into the gown and her Maid of Honor Jaymee helped with putting on the bridal shoes.
We lined up Mackenzie’s bridesmaids for the grand reveal! As they each turned around, a wave of emotions filled the room. Everyone looked so excited and overjoyed witnessing Kenzie as a stunning bride. Next, it was time for Kenzie to share a first look with her dad. Once Kenzie called his name, he spun around in utter shock at the sight of his beautiful daughter. In that moment, he looked beyond proud!
We ventured downtown to the Jefferson City, Missouri Capitol where Mackenzie and Johnathan would share their first look together as a bride and groom! What a beautiful moment it was to witness! Kenzie gently glided towards her groom and tapped him on the shoulder. John turned around quickly and was immediately met with an overwhelming sense of joy! The two embraced and held each other tightly for the longest time. Once they had time to truly take in the moment, Kenzie and John decided to read hand written letters to one another. They chose to share more personal promises with one another during the intimate moment instead of sharing them in front of all their guests at the ceremony. It was the sweetest thing to see them declaring their love and support for one another.
Kenzie and John were blessed with the most gorgeous May wedding day! We had a blast downtown with them as we photographed their bridal portraits! Kenzie and John are an absolute perfect match. They complement each other in all the best ways. You cannot help but smile and feel so happy for these two when you’re in their presence. There was definitely no shortage of laughter throughout the afternoon. We just adore how John makes Kenzie crack up laughing. Their love is sweet, endearing, and genuine, and we just loved documenting their connection. After bridal party portraits, we headed back to Capital Bluffs Event Center for the ceremony.
Kenzie and John were married with all their family and friends in attendance! These two were giddy as could be during the ceremony! As the officiant pronounced them husband and wife, they shared a passionate kiss and everyone erupted in joyful cheering and congratulatory applause. John was so excited to have a wife by his side, he couldn’t even make it half way back up the aisle before sharing another kiss with his beautiful bride!
It was time to celebrate the new Mr. & Mrs. Arnett! Kenzie and John were announced into their reception to Soulja Boy’s “Crank That!” As the DJ played the song, Kenzie and John arrived in style with sunglasses and an entertaining dance. Everyone loved the energetic entrance! These two really know how to get the party started. Immediately after the grand entrance, they cut their cake and went straight into their first dances as husband and wife! The remainder of the evening was spent dancing the night away! Kenzie and John know how to have a good time. Once they made their way to the dance floor, they didn’t want to leave. We ended the night with them with a sparkling exit! Immediate family and their bridal party members waved sparklers as Kenzie and John dashed through the tunnel. It was quite literally the perfect ending to an amazing day!
Kenzie and John, Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for allowing us the opportunity to document your beautiful day! You two are truly something special. We felt so welcomed in all day long by your sweet family and friends! Thank you for trusting us to document your wedding day memories. We had a blast on your first day as Mr. & Mrs. Arnett! Congratulations to you both. We wish you all the absolute best! Enjoy reliving your beautiful day.
