Morgan and Chase were married on the last day of August with their family and friends in attendance! Everyone gathered at Timber Ridge Barn in Jefferson City, Missouri for their big day. When we arrived, Morgan and the bridesmaids were getting ready for the day down in the basement bridal suite. Everyone was calm and excited for the day ahead. I photographed Morgan’s country/rustic details while they finished up with hair and makeup. The guys arrived one by one. They were helping out with finishing touches up in the reception area. We pulled Chase and his mom out front of the venue for his getting ready portraits. His mom looked so proud as she adjusted Chase’s tie. Unfortunately, due to medical issues, Chase’s dad was not able to attend the wedding in person. Once he was finished getting ready, they called his dad on Facetime so the two would be able to see one another and talk!
Morgan got ready with the help of her mom in the bridal suite. Once she was in her dress, she read a sweet card from Chase before sharing a first look with her dad. Morgan’s dad was out front waiting by the barn for Morgan’s grand reveal. As she tapped her dad’s shoulder, he spun around and looked excited as ever to witness his daughter as a bride. It was such a sweet moment Morgan and her dad got to share before all the other portraits got started.
The bridesmaids met us outside and we photographed bridesmaid portraits as the sun peeked in and out from behind the clouds. They even brought Theodore outside, Morgan and Chase’s adorable son, to join in all the fun. He was just as cute as can be and hammed it up for the camera! Next, we photographed groomsmen portraits! Chase’s friends really know how to get him laughing. Chase was all smiles as we documented portraits with his groomsmen. Perhaps some of my favorite shots at this time is when they brought out Theodore once again. Chase lit up and looked so proud as he held his son for a few portraits.
It was time for the ceremony! Guests and family gathered at the rustic outdoor ceremony space at Timber Ridge Barn. Morgan was escorted down the aisle by her dad, and she had Theodore in her arms as well! Morgan and Chase were married in a short but sweet ceremony. After they were pronounced husband and wife, they happily dashed back up the aisle hand-in-hand! Everyone cheered for the new Mr. & Mrs. Brenneke. Family gathered nearby immediately after the ceremony for family formals. Once those were complete, we documented bridal party portraits with the barn in the background! We wanted to show off their venue!
Finally it was time for bride and groom portraits! The sun came out after several hours of cloudy weather just as we began taking the bride and groom shots. They even got a few portraits in with their sweet son, Theodore. Back inside, guests were waiting for Morgan and Chase to enter the reception. They were announced in, did a few toasts and slid right into dinner time. After dinner, Morgan and Chase cut their cake and shared their first dance as husband and wife. Once the formal dances finished up, we stole the newlyweds outside for sunset portraits! This is hands down the best time of day for lighting at Timber Ridge Barn. You get that beautiful golden glow with the rolling fields behind you! Theo even came out for this portrait time and we managed to capture some of my favorite portraits of the day!
Morgan and Chase, thank you so much for allowing me and my team the opportunity to have a front row seat to your special day! We want to wish you two and your sweet little family the absolute best as you enter into this new season of being married! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Brenneke!
