Mr. & Mrs. Dooling | The Millbottom | Jefferson City, Missouri

Chelsie and Dylan were married on September 19th at The Millbottom in Jefferson City, Missouri.  The day was shaping up to be one gorgeous day with the fall color pallet chosen by the bride and groom.  The weather was absolutely beautiful with perfect temperatures.  We knew this day would be something special from beginning to end. We arrived in the afternoon to photograph details at The Millbottom.  The venue is so pretty with globe lights sparkling from the ceilings.  Music echoed through the venue as the DJ’s were testing their equipment for the evening festivities.  We loved all the sparkle and glitz Chelsie and Dylan had to make The Millbottom truly come to life.  The warm fall colors made everything look so cozy.

Next, we headed to the hotel where Chelsie and Dylan were getting ready for the day.  As the bride and bridesmaids continued with their hair and makeup, we ventured off to a nearby room to focus on Chelsie’s pretty bridal details. With all the sparkles and extra floral blooms, we were in heaven.  She had the prettiest of details.  Her bridal bouquet was an absolute show stopper.  Jessica with In Any Event outdid herself with the brilliant fall bouquet.  As the girls finished with hair and makeup, they wandered into our room for a few photos before Chelsie would finally get into her wedding gown.  One by one, they all piled on to the bed for a quick portrait.  Everyone was all smiles and excitement filled the room as it neared the time for Chelsie to get into her dress.

All the bridesmaids left the room to change into their wedding day attire leaving Chelsie and her mom.  Chelsie’s mom quickly helped Chelsie into the gorgeous lace wedding gown.  She gently fastened all of the intricate buttons before adding a vintage necklace and a veil to finish off the look.  Now that Chelsie was all ready and looking stunning as a bride, it was time to reveal her look to her favorite girls. We lined the bridesmaids up and Chelsie entered the room once again.  They all became excited and exclaimed the nicest of compliments.  Several tears were shed by bridesmaids as they became overwhelmed with emotion.  With the bridesmaid reveal complete, now it was time for a daddy daughter first look.  We knew this was going to be quite the emotional time for Chelsie’s father.  As Chelsie glided towards her dad, she lightly tapped his shoulder.  As he turned around, he was immediately overcome with emotion.  Tears streamed down his face and he pulled Chelsie in for the sweetest hug.  Chelsie and her father stood there just embracing for the longest time.  It was one of our favorite moments of the day.

Before the ceremony, we headed downtown on a party bus to capture a few bridesmaid and groomsmen portraits.  Chelsie and Dylan decided to forgo a first look, so they wouldn’t be seeing one another until Chelsie was walking down the aisle.  Chelsie’s bridesmaids were all glammed up!  We love the attention to detail Chelsie put into every aspect of the day.  The array of colors and textures chosen for the bridesmaids dresses really made them stand out.  Chelsie and her girls had a lot of fun as we snapped our shutters quickly for portrait time.  Once the girls were to the Millbottom safely without being seen by the guys, Dylan and his guys headed our way for a few groomsmen portraits.  Dylan isn’t usually a fan of portraits, but he definitely turned his “A” game on for the day and really impressed us!

We ventured back to the Millbottom where guests were already seated for the ceremony!  Dylan waited anxiously up on the stage beneath the arbor.  As Chelsie entered the room, a smile graced his face and he went down the stairs to meet his gorgeous bride.  A light hearted and fun ceremony was lead by a family friend.  He cracked many jokes and kept the crowd laughing the majority of the time.  After Chelsie and Dylan exchanged rings and said their vows to one another, they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Dooling!  Everyone cheered as Chelsie and Dylan made their way back down the aisle.

The evening hours were perfect as we photographed the bridal party portraits downtown!  Once it was time for bride and groom portraits, we were super impressed with these two!  Chelsie and Dylan looked so cute as husband and wife and you could tell they were in their own little world of happiness!  After portraits, we made our way back to The Millbottom where Chelsie and Dylan were greeted with a very warm welcome from their friends and family!  Everyone cheered in excitement as the new Mr. & Mrs. Dooling were announced in to the Kansas City Chiefs theme song.  Chelsie and Dylan even wore their favorite KC jerseys over their wedding attire.  The KC memorabilia  didn’t stop there.  Dylan’s groom cake even sported the KC Chiefs logo with Beer on top.  Theres no doubt these two love their Chiefs!  And who can blame them after the last incredible season and super bowl win!

The evening was full of love, memorable speeches, and a lot of dancing!  Just before we ended our time with Chelsie and Dylan, we whisked them away outside for a few bride and groom night ending shots!  The capitol dome is finally visible again now that the scaffolding has come down, so we knew it was the perfect location to end our portrait time.  Chelsie and Dylan ended the night with a sweet kiss under the street lights with the state capitol in the background.  It was the perfect ending to a spectacular day!

Chelsie and Dylan, thank you for inviting us in on one of the most special days of your lives!  We know you two have been through so much together over the years and we felt so honored to be the ones documenting your first day as husband and wife.  Cheers to the #DoolingDuo!
