Mr. & Mrs. Francis | Emerson Fields Wedding

On one of the most beautiful April Saturdays, Kendra and Brady celebrated day one of their marriage at the gorgeous Emerson Fields! As we made our way down the drive to their stunning venue on the morning of the wedding, we knew we were in for one spectacular day! We were met with warm and welcoming hugs from the venue owners and our day was off to an amazing start. We strolled around the main venue space looking at all of the perfectly put together table settings. Varying heights of vases housed ivory candles, and soft shades of greenery surrounded each table centerpiece. Table numbers were written on delicate glass pieces to finish off the look of each table. We loved the simplicity of the design!

As the morning continued on, we began photographing all of Kendra’s pretty bridal details. We were in heaven with everything she had ready for us! Her coordinator for the day, Tyena with D-zines, was absolutely fabulous and made our photographer hearts so happy. She made sure we had what ever floral blooms and stems we wanted for our flat lays. The blooms and greenery made all the difference and helped create some of our favorite flat lays to date! Emerson Fields has so many lovely options to use for styling details. Every direction you look, you can easily find items and spaces to use for styling details and photographing dress shots. We loved all of the creative freedom you have at Emerson Fields. The options really are endless!

We have followed along with Emerson Field’s venue journey ever since they broke ground and began documenting the progress in 2017. We knew they were creating something amazing and we hoped for the chance to photograph a wedding there one day. When Kendra and her mom first contacted us about the wedding date, we couldn’t have been more thrilled to learn their wedding day was at Emerson Fields and our calendar was still open! Emerson Fields is one of the most stunning venues we have ever had the pleasure of photographing. It is more than just a beautiful venue. It’s a space built and designed from the ground up by two people with a gift for creating immaculate spaces. They really have thought of everything and more to make your wedding day a memorable one!

Amelia and her husband Steve have such servant hearts and love your special day just as much as you do! They find joy in your excitement and love celebrating alongside of you as you begin your new journey as husband and wife. They do so, all while effortlessly running things behind the scenes. They truly go above and beyond for each and every couple they serve. You are more than just clients to them; and it is ever apparent on the wedding day. They welcome each bride and groom with open arms and treat you and all of your guests like family. Not only do they treat all your guests like family, they also welcome each and every vendor with open arms as well! We felt so loved all day! Our team was so taken care of and we couldn’t have been more appreciative of the kindness we received. Emerson Fields is a one-of-a-kind venue experience for everyone involved, and we adored the opportunity to work along side of Amelia and Steve and all the other vendors for the Francis wedding day!

As we reached the afternoon, it was time to get the bride and groom ready for the day. Scattered on the lawn just outside the venue, was Brady and all of his groomsmen, where they played corn hole to pass the time. Brady made his way inside and prepared for the day with the help of his brothers mom and dad! Next we headed to the bridal suite where Kendra and all her bridesmaids were waiting. We cleared the room out and found the perfect spot for Kendra and her mom to get ready. Kendra slipped into her beautiful Breeze Bridal gown and anxiously waited as her mom and sisters fastened all of the delicate buttons. Once they were all in place, her look was finished with a few pieces of jewelry and of course a veil! The gown fit Kendra like a glove! She looked absolutely stunning. She was beaming with so much happiness as each bridesmaid made their way back into the bridal suite. So many giggles and laughter filled the room and it was one of the sweetest moments of the day.

Anticipation and excitement began to build up for Kendra and just before sharing a first look with Brady, she broke down and cried. She was so ready to see her groom, she just couldn’t help the flood of emotions that came over her suddenly. We went out to the front porch to set Brady in place and told him to patiently wait there for his bride. Kendra, still emotional, made her way out the front door. As she regained her composure, she told Brady to turn around. She was met with the biggest smile and hug from Brady. As soon as Brady and Kendra locked eyes, tears began to stream down her face. The darling pair embraced under the porch and Brady wiped away the tears from Kendra’s eyes. It was truly a heart touching moment!

These two are just the sweetest! It’s evident they share an undeniable love for one another. You can’t help but smile when you are around these two because they just look so happy and in love. Capturing love stories like theirs is the best! Two people, madly and undeniably in love, unafraid to show raw emotion, make documenting a wedding day so easy! We love how easy Brady makes Kendra laugh and how one look at Kendra and Brady just melts! These two couldn’t be more perfect for each other.

The day was going even better than we had expected and was actually running a bit ahead of schedule! We spent the remainder of the afternoon photographing their large bridal party and family formals. Everyone was so easy to work with! We were pleasantly surprised just how quick and easy it was to photography the bridal party with it being such a large group and a limited amount of space to work in. Kendra and Brady have a wonderful group of friends and family who truly made their day a fun one! We enjoyed capturing all the fun they had!

Before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony! Family and friends were seated Oscar style inside Emerson Fields for joyous occasion. Kendra teared up and eventually began to cry as she was guided down the aisle by her dad. I was tearing up behind my camera as she made her way to the front where she was met with a big smile from Brady. Her dad hugged her as he gave her away and Kendra joined Brady on the stage. Hand in hand, they shared in an intimate ceremony. They exchanged vows, placed rings on each others fingers, and took part in a tree planting ceremony! Within half an hour, they were pronounced husband and wife! Family and friends cheered and applauded as they made their way back down the aisle.

April 6th was perfectly spent from beginning to end! The reception was such a blast and the energy in the room was amazing! Everyone was hyped as Kendra and Brady made their way back inside the venue to kick off the evening celebration. Sentimental toasts were given and lots of laughter filled the room as funny stories were told about Kendra and Brady! Kendra and Brady share a love for sports and particularly love basketball. While attending UCM in Warrensburg, MO, Kendra played on the basketball team where they recently won the title of State Champs! Many of her teammates filled the room, cheering, clapping, and stomping their feet any time basketball and state camps was mentioned. We loved the energy and comradery that filled the room. We couldn’t help but capture the teams excitement, so we gathered everyone outside on the dock for a quick team picture. We ended with one last Hooray as they cheered and chanted “STATE CHAMPS!” Their reception was such a blast and one we will certainly be talking about for awhile!
