Mr. & Mrs. Gillam | The Millbottom | Jefferson City, Missouri Wedding

Jordyn and Nik were happily married over Memorial Day weekend!  They were blessed with the most beautiful sunny day in Jefferson City. When we arrived, Jordyn and the girls were finishing up with hair and makeup while we got to work photographing all of her pretty bridal details.  Everyone was excited for the big day!  Nik got ready at the Millbottom with help from both his mom and dad.  Once he was ready, his parents gave him the sweetest gift; cufflinks with G initialed on them.  Nik became emotional as they explained that the cufflinks are also to be used for baby Gillam when he gets married one day.

We headed back up to the loft where Jordyn was ready to get into her wedding gown!  With the help of her mom, Jordyn was in her gown in no time at all.  Before heading downtown, Jordyn did a big reveal with her bridesmaids and her dad.  As she glided towards her dad in the ceremony space at the Millbottom, she stopped for a brief moment before tapping him on the shoulder.  What and emotional first look these two shared.  Jordyn couldn’t help but cry when she saw her dad’s reaction of her as a beautiful bride.

It was now time for the first look between the bride and the groom!  This is a moment I know they had both been anxiously anticipating all morning.  Jordyn was all smiles as she made her way towards her future husband, who stood waiting under the archway at the Governor’s Garden.  His reaction to witnessing his bride was one for the books.  He was immediately overcome by emotion and couldn’t stop crying and telling Jordyn how amazing and beautiful she looked.  They both teared up and exchanged hugs.  Once they regained their composure, Jordyn and Nik decided to read their handwritten vows to one another.  It was such a beautiful sight to witness these two share their love and promises to each other.

We spent the rest of the afternoon documenting portraits.  While it was extremely windy, I’m talking ridiculously windy, it didn’t stop us from capturing some beautiful moments.  It’s very obvious that these two are so head over heels for one another.  They look at each other and you can just feel the love between them.  Nik always keeps Jordyn laughing, and Nik can’t keep his eyes off his beautiful bride.  Jordyn and Nik were married at the Millbottom with Nik’s mom officiating the intimate affair!  It was a short but sweet ceremony.

The DJ announced Jordyn and Nik into the reception venue and the guests loudly cheered for the happy couple!  The cake was cut, sweet speeches were made, and dancing filled the evening.  We stole Jordyn and Nik outside for a few more romantic sunset portraits.  The light was absolutely beautiful and the wind had finely died down a bit.  Before leaving the Gillam wedding day, we ended it on a high note as their immediate family and bridal party members sent them off with a sparkler exit!  It was a magical scene as the newest Mr. & Mrs. Gillam shared a kiss with the Missouri capitol in the background.

Jordyn & Nik, thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to be part of such a special day in your lives.  Your day came together beautifully!  You are both so loved by your family and friends and we feel so honored we could be there to witness it all. Enjoy some of my favorites from the gorgeous day!
