It was a nice November day filled with love, laughter, and moments of pure magic as Katie and Tadd celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. From the excitement buzzing through Senior Hall in the morning to the joyful celebration in the Kimball Ballroom, every moment of their day was a testament to their love and the incredible people who surround them.
The morning of the wedding was a flurry of excitement and anticipation, with Katie and her bridesmaids prepping for the big day at Senior Hall. The space was full of laughter, as hair and makeup artists worked their magic while the ladies chatted and laughed together. Just down the hall, Tadd and his groomsmen enjoyed a more laid-back start to the day, spending time together in a nearby room, chatting, and preparing for the celebrations ahead.
One of the sweetest moments of the morning was when Katie and Tadd exchanged letters and gifts. Tadd’s nieces played a special role by delivering his letter and gift, while Katie’s gift was brought to her by Harley. These heartfelt gifts were a beautiful start to their wedding day, setting the tone for the deep love and connection that Katie and Tadd share.
Katie, with the help of her mom, Liz, and her maid of honor, slipped into her breathtaking gown in one of the grand rooms at Senior Hall. Katie’s mom could hardly contain her pride as she witnessed her daughter transform into a stunning bride. Her joy and admiration for Katie’s beauty were impossible to miss, and it was a truly special moment to capture.
Next, it was time for a first look with the first man Katie ever loved—her father, Steve. As Katie tapped him on the shoulder and he turned to see his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress, the emotion was overwhelming. There was not a dry eye in the room as father and daughter shared an embrace, shedding tears of happiness and love. Katie’s mom also joined in, creating a circle of support and joy around the bride.
Then, it was time for Katie and Tadd to share a first look of their own. Tadd’s face lit up with the most radiant smile when he saw Katie in her gown. The love and admiration they have for one another was so apparent, and their joy was infectious. They shared a moment of pure happiness, taking in the magic of the day and the excitement of finally being together!
After their emotional first looks, we utilized Stephens College campus for bride and groom portraits. The fall leaves were in full display, creating a vibrant backdrop of oranges, reds, and yellows. Just as the sun broke through the clouds, the soft golden light filtered through the trees, making for some of my favorite portraits of the day! Katie and Tadd’s connection was undeniable. They couldn’t stop laughing and smiling at each other, clearly in their element together. Tadd’s loving gaze toward Katie was the perfect reflection of how he sees her—like she’s the only one in the world. They make each other better, and it was so evident in every moment shared between them!
We had such a great time with Katie and Tadd’s bridal party, who were full of energy, love, and support. Bridal party portraits were filled with laughter, and we had a blast capturing the camaraderie and joy shared between the couple and their closest friends.
Katie and Tadd were married in the stunning Firestone Baars Chapel, a space known for its intricate architecture and timeless beauty. The ceremony was filled with emotion as Katie walked down the aisle, her eyes locked with Tadd’s. Within half an hour, the couple was officially husband and wife. They exited the chapel hand in hand, smiles wide, ready to begin this new chapter together! After the ceremony, we stole a few quick portraits of the newlyweds in the chapel courtyard. The love and happiness they radiated were contagious, and it was clear they were thrilled to begin their married life together!
The reception at Kimball Ballroom was a stunning sight. The space was elegantly styled with ivory floral arrangements, creating a warm, romantic atmosphere. Guests were treated to a delicious plated dinner, and after the meal, heartfelt toasts were made in honor of the couple. The traditional dances followed, with Katie and Tadd’s first dance as husband and wife being a special highlight. The energy picked up after that, as guests filled the dance floor and celebrated the newlyweds with a packed dance floor that lasted well into the night.
As the night came to a close, we gathered outside Kimball Ballroom for Katie and Tadd’s bubble exit. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they dashed through a sea of bubbles, a perfect ending to a perfect day.
Katie and Tadd, it was such an honor to be a part of your beautiful wedding day. Your love for each other is truly inspiring, and I know you have an amazing future ahead of you. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and love. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Glasgow!
