When Sarah contacted me about her elopement at Hermann Hills, I was overjoyed with the opportunity to document such an intimate affair! We arrived just before the ceremony kicked off and met Sarah in a getting ready space. She was so calm and collected and ready to get to the ceremony and see Joe! Her mom efficiently fastened her into her gown and helped with Sarah’s gorgeous heels. Sarah added her sparkling earrings, which was just the finishing touch she needed for her immaculate bridal look. From head to toe, Sarah looked absolutely stunning! She was truly radiating such a beautiful happiness!
November 3 transpired to be one of the most beautiful fall days. Temperatures were warm! There was a little breeze blowing, and the vibrant fall foiliage around the property was showing off. Joe stood at the Bluff area that overlooks the river, waiting for Sarah to walk down the aisle. He was so nervous as he anticipated her arrival. As soon as he laid eyes on Sarah, he immediately began to weep. Tears streamed down Joe’s face as Sarah glided towards him. Sarah’s father gave the warmest hug to Joe as he handed off his beautiful daughter. Sarah and Joe shared handwritten romantic and heartfelt vows with one another! Both Sarah and Joe tried to keep it together, but both became very emotional while delivering their vows and listening to the sweet words spoken. It was one of my favorite moments of the ceremony.
After the short and sweet ceremony, Sarah and Joe sealed it with a kiss! Sarah was so overjoyed and excited, that she forgot there was step down at the alter site. As she and Joe began making their way back up the aisle, she nearly tripped. Her fun spunky self remained perfectly composed and she just cracked up laughing! She never missed a beat as she and Joe walked hand and hand back up the aisle as Mr. & Mrs. Harris! Immediately following the ceremony, Sarah and Joe put their custom engraved lock on the fence line and then threw the key into the river. We then took a few family photos before it was time for bride and groom portraits.
Sarah and Joe truly made bride and groom portrait time so much fun! You can tell that these two share such a special and undeniable bond. They have such a remarkable love story! They have known one another since they were little kids. They dated at one point and time and went their separate ways for many years. After years apart from each other, they eventually made their way back to one another. Throughout their years being apart, they both always thought of the other. Joe knew this time, he could never let Sarah go. They also have a sweet baby boy on the way, so we made sure to take a few portraits showing off Sarah’s cute baby bump. She and Joe both looked so proud and happy anytime they talked about their baby boy.
It was such a special day celebrating Sarah and Joe at Hermann Hill Weddings! The venue provided the perfect backdrop to highlight Sarah & Joe’s love story! They share an unconditional love that is all encompassing! We couldn’t be any more excited for these two as they begin this new chapter as husband and wife. Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Harris!
