Mr. & Mrs. Hensley | The Millbottom | Jefferson City, Missouri Wedding

When I met Kelly & Eric for their engagement session, I quickly realized I was in the company of one of the sweetest couples! By the end of their session, I couldn’t wait for their wedding day! I knew the vibrant affair would be unforgettable. When Kelly told me their wedding colors were bright orange and hot pink, I was ecstatic! Orange has always been my favorite color, and it’s not one you typically see on a wedding day. Her wedding day colors were once the colors of my childhood bedroom. So seeing these vibrant pops of color on a wedding day was a dream come true!

The bright colors truly match Kelly’s vibrant personality! Every direction you turned, your eyes were met with beautiful pops of color! They turned the Millbottom into a colorful affair like no other. You can tell Kelly & Eric put a lot of thought and time into carefully selecting their details and decor! Each detail, perfectly paired, made the day come to life. From Kelly’s bridal details, do the vibrancy of the head table, everything came together beautifully!

Kelly and her bridesmaids were up in the loft preparing for the day with hair and makeup while Eric and his groomsmen prepared for the day inside the Millbottom. Everyone was so calm and inviting to our team! With the help of her mom, Kelly slipped into her gorgeous gown, adorn with pearls. She had complementing jewelry and shows that pulled the look together! Her hair was perfectly styled and secured into place. Once she was ready, she looked absolutely stunning! She did a quick reveal with her bridesmaids before we ventured off to the capitol for bridesmaid portraits.

The neutral walls of the capitol offered the perfect backdrop for all the brightly colored bridesmaids dresses. Kelly and her gals giggled and laughed their way through portrait time! Eric and his groomsmen were next up! What a lively and fun group of guys they were. It was nearing the time of the ceremony. Guests gathered nearby at the Governor’s Garden in Jefferson City, Missouri. With a picturesque scene and perfect spring weather, Kelly and Eric couldn’t have asked for a better day! They each recited their own heartfelt vows, exchanged rings, and were pronounced husband and wife as family and friends cheered for the happy couple!

After the ceremony, we dedicated time to photographing family formals, bridal party portraits, and finally bride and groom portraits! Kelly and Eric are such naturals in front of the camera! Their love is so undeniable and evident in each photo. I adore these two and how they look into each others eyes. They are so intentional and caring with one another. We strolled around the capitol and documented stunning portraits of the new Mr. & Mrs. Henley.

Guests gathered at the Millbottom to kick off the evening celebrating! The DJs announced in the bridal party, each doing their own little skit, and then guests rose to their feet and applauded as Kelly and Eric dashed in and shot gunned beers. Heartfelt toasts were delivered and dinner from Madisons was served to all in attendance. Kelly and Eric cut the cake and enjoyed their first dance as newlyweds! The remainder of the night was full of dancing and catching up with friends nad family. Everyone took advantage of the beautiful weather by gathering outdoors on the patio. It was such a perfect evening celebrating these two!

Kelly & Eric, thank you so, so much for having us document your wedding day memories! It was truly an unforgettable day, and will easily go down as one of my all time favorite color palettes.
