Mackenzie & Ryland were married on Saturday June 11 at The Daisy Farm in Jefferson City, Missouri! I think they may have chosen the hottest day of the year to become Mr. & Mrs. but it didn’t hinder us from documenting gorgeous portraits. From the moment we arrived, Mackenzie and all her bridesmaids were sweet as can be to me and my team. The day was moving along perfectly. Everyone was being such troopers in the heat, as The Daisy farm has no A/C in any of the venue barns. Ryland got ready with the help of his best man and Mackenzie got ready in the charming little farm house with the help of her mom.
Once they were both ready for the day, it was time for a string of big reveals. First up, Mackenzie would do a bridal reveal to all of her bridesmaids. They decided to do it at the barn and incorporate the large sliding barn doors for the grand reveal. This was such a Pinterest moment and one of my favorites of the day! Before the bride and groom first look, Mackenzie wanted to share a first look with her dad. He patiently waited outside of the barn doors waiting to witness his daughter as a bride. The barn doors slid open, and her dad was all smiles. He looked so proud as he saw Mackenzie as a beautiful bride.
It was finally time for Mackenzie and Ryland to share a first look! They decided to do it in the big barn on the property. As Mackenzie tapped Ryland on the shoulder, he turned around looking as excited as ever! They embraced and admired one another. It was such a sweet moment of the day. We slid right into bride and groom portrait time. Mackenzie and Ryland were such champions out in the unbearable heat. We were able to capture their adorable connection and sweet love they share for each other. The laughter never faded and their smiles were infectious. These two really are something special. It was such a joy documenting their love. Before the ceremony, we photographed the bridal party, and they all did so great!
Mackenzie and Ryland shared in an intimate outdoor ceremony where they shared handwritten heartfelt vows to one another. It was hot as ever, but luckily just before the ceremony, clouds rolled in to block the bright sun. After the ceremony and family formals, Mackenzie and Ryland were announced in to their reception. Speeches were given, the cake was cut, and dances happened. The evening was full of fun! We stole Mackenzie and Ryland outside for a few portraits just after sunset. We ended the night on such a high note with a sparkler exit! Mackenzie and Ryland dashed through the excited guests looking happy as ever.
Mackenzie and Ryland, Thank you for allowing us to be part of your beautiful day! We enjoyed the day so much and wish you two all the best. Congratulations again to Mr. & Mrs. Johnson!
