Mr. and Mrs. Lester | Kimball Ballroom | Columbia, Missouri Wedding

Their journey together began six years ago, and on July 29 the two began their forever. Tennille and Michael had an amazing wedding at the Firestone Baars Chapel with a reception following at the Kimball Ballroom! Their day was full of joy, laughter, tears, and the love of family and friends. We arrived to the bridal parlor and we were immediately excited to photograph all of the pretty details. No detail went unnoticed as Tennille and Michael celebrated their happily ever after. Their day was perfectly put together with shades of maroon, and rose gold with touches of glitter and sequins everywhere you looked. The gorgeous florals complimented the romantic color palette.

Tennille and Michael couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. The weather forecast was absolutely perfect with blue skies and beautiful sunshine all day. We were excited to be greeted with comfortable temperatures after all of the extreme heat in the forecast lately. Tennille and her bridesmaids began the day with a toast before getting into their gowns. We witnessed such a touching moment as Tennille’s mom helped her get into her wedding gown. She began to tear up at the sight of her daughter as a bride. Once she was in her gown, it was time for the first look with her soon to be hubby!

Tennille and Michael shared the most romantic first look outside of the chapel. Michael stood and anxiously awaited his bride to arrive. Tennille gracefully made her way to Michael and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around with the biggest smile and embraced Tennille as soon as he saw her. We adore first looks because it allows couples to spend more time together on the wedding day. We enjoyed the afternoon as the trolley transported the bridal party to multiple locations for portraits. Once we made our way back to the chapel, Tennille shared a first look with her dad. What a sweet moment this was to see. He became very emotional as he saw his daughter for the first time in her wedding gown.

Tennille and Michael may have shared a first look earlier in the day, but that didn’t stop him from getting emotional during the ceremony. Michael cried as Tennille made her way down the aisle. Their ceremony was sweet and meaningful. Michael surprised Tennille and everyone in the chapel when their friends showed up with their two precious dogs, Booka and Stella. He wanted to make sure their fur babies didn’t miss their mom and dad getting married.

The two wrote their own vows and Tennille kept her vows on par by writing 18 promises to Michael like a round of golf. Michael’s vows to Tennille were just as heartfelt. The vows they professed to each other were the sweetest we have ever heard. The entire audience was emotional as they spoke the most genuine words at the altar. They also shared in a special sand ceremony with sand they have collected at each beach visited over the years. Once the officiant pronounced them husband and wife, they sealed the deal with a romantic kiss while everyone cheered for the new Mr. and Mrs. Lester.

Tennille and Michael thought of everything when planning the wedding day. The reception was so beautiful with sequins and sparkle in every direction! Heartfelt toasts were given during dinner. Sometimes it can be easy to get caught up in all the stress of a wedding day. It’s important to be reminded the purpose of the wedding day. Michael’s best man Jason said it best when he toasted to the couple that marriage isn’t just a day. He reminded everyone that marriage is forever. It’s a lifetime to spend with someone you love. Tennille and Michael are so lucky to have found each other because they perfectly compliment one another in every way. Tennille and Michael are just as sweet as they are gorgeous. It’s hard not smile when you are around these two.
