Casey and Lawson were officially married on Saturday April 24, 2021 at Christ Prince of Peace. The pandemic last year wrecked havoc on their wedding day plans, so they were ultimately forced to push their date back by a year. We knew after meeting Casey and Lawson at the engagement session that their wedding day would come together so beautifully! Casey loves fresh florals and elegant details. Pair pretty details with an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue, and you have the perfect combination for a beautiful wedding!
Rain has been very present so far in our 2021 wedding season, but it doesn’t stop us from documenting gorgeous wedding day portraits. When we arrived to Casey’s parents home, everyone was in the dining room getting ready with the hair and makeup team. We got right to work with her simple yet elegant wedding details upstairs while everyone continued to prepare for the day. We couldn’t get enough of Casey and Lawsons’s two fur babies, Evey and Milly. They kept following us around all morning and never turned away getting all the pets!
As the hair and makeup artist finished up with the final touches for Casey, it was time to get her into the wedding gown. Joined by her mom and sister, Casey slipped into her gown. Casey’s mom fastened her in the gown and added pretty jewelry details to finish off the look. Sarah helped Casey into her pretty wedding day shoes before Evey ran into the room eager to see Casey! Casey lit up with the biggest smile as she knelt down to pet Evey!
Next, we headed over to Casey and Lawsons home to get the groom ready for the day! Lawson was eagerly waiting for us to arrive and we quickly photographed him with all his brothers and both his parents. The home was full of lots of laughter as Lawson got ready for the day. His parents looked so happy and proud of him as they observed him getting ready from a distance.
It was ceremony time! Casey and Lawson were joined at Christ Prince of Peace with their closest family and friends. They took part in a traditional ceremony and full catholic mass with communion. Once the father pronounced them husband and wife, the guests erupted in cheer and excitement! Casey and Lawson looked genuinely happy as they looked at one another after sharing a sweet kiss. The newlyweds made their way back up the aisle and everyone gathered around them in the lobby area congratulating them.
Since the rain refused to stop, we ventured into the city towards the wedding venue. We stopped at Angad Arts Hotel to do bridal party portraits and a few bride and groom portraits. Once Barnett on Washington opened the doors, we quickly made our way there to photograph all the beautiful details. The Barnett on Washington is a venue you have to see! It’s gorgeous and so elegant! Casey and Lawson hired the sweetest wedding day planners, Chloe and Company, and they transformed the space into a magical oasis. It looked so romantic and beautiful. No detail went unnoticed. We were in heaven as we photographed all of the candles and large floral centerpieces.
Casey and Lawson arrived later in the evening and joined us outside for a few bride and groom portraits once it finally stopped raining! The sun even peeked out from behind the clouds while we documented their just married shots. Lawson easily had Casey laughing and together they were cute as can be! It was time for the party and celebrating to begin! The Dj announced Casey and Lawson into the reception and the new Mr. & Mrs. Mahoney gracefully made their way down the grand divided staircase as family and friends cheered them on. You could feel so much love in the room as they arrived to the reception.
The night was full of so much excitement! Casey’s parents kicked the evening off with a lovely warm and 0welcoming toast. Later, Casey’s sister, and two of Lawson’s brothers delivered emotional speeches that had Lawson in tears. There’s no doubt Casey and Lawson have a lot of people who love and support them and truly rally around them as a couple! Once dancing began, we saw an entirely knew side to Lawson. As it turns out, the guy we thought was shy and reserved, turned out to be quite the party starter. Once Lawson arrived to the dance floor, he stayed there all evening long entertaining all who watched. Casey and Lawson’s guests kept the dance floor packed all night long and so much fun was had by all.
Before concluding the day, we pulled Casey and Lawson outside to the patio area under the bistro lights for one final romantic moment! It was a great ending to the day. Casey and Lawson, thank you for allowing us the opportunity to document your wedding day. Your day came together beautifully! We wish you two the absolute best in everything you do. Enjoy some of our favorites from the day! Many more to come.
