Mr. & Mrs. Moeller | Wardsville, Missouri Wedding Day

Jade and Matt were married on Saturday August 17 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville, Missouri with a reception following at the Wardsville Lions Club. They were blessed with a beautiful summer day! Rain showers dampened the pavements in the morning hours. The sun finally peeked out from behind the heavy cloud cover later that afternoon just in time for their planned hayride through Taos and Wardsville!

We began the day photographing Jade’s bridal details. We couldn’t get over her gorgeous wildflower bouquet handcrafted by Backroad Blossoms.  This bridal bouquet was simply perfection with all of the vibrant colored blooms. The morning timeline was running smoothly and it was just about time to start getting Jade in her wedding gown. As Jade reached up to grab her gorgeous Stella York wedding dress, she was all smiles! With the help of her mom and sister, she was in the dress in no time. Buttons were fastened, a sentimental bracelet was clasped into place, and her veil was added to complete the look!   One last spritz of perfume, and Jade was ready for the day!

We had a special first look planned with her dad that would soon have us all emotional! As her dad stood anxiously anticipating his daughter to arrive, we couldn’t help but tear up behind the camera. Jade lightly tapped her dad’s right shoulder and he turned around with the biggest grin that was immediately followed with a wave of emotions. You could tell her dad was trying not to tear up in that moment, so he quickly pulled Jade in for a sweet hug. At this point, it was all we could do to keep from crying. These first looks are always such a favorite portion in the wedding day.

Next, it was time for Jade to reveal her look to the bridesmaids! When they turned around, it was so fun witnessing the array of reactions each of her close girl friends had! After all the excitement of seeing Jade in her dress concluded, we made our way outside of the church for bridesmaids and groomsmen portraits. We must admit they had the cutest little kids in their wedding! Everyone was so easy going and made our job a breeze!

It was getting closer to one o’clock in the afternoon, so we wrapped up portraits outside and got ready for the ceremony. It was almost time for Matt to finally see his bride. As the ceremony began and the bridal party members made their way down the aisle, you could see the anticipation building with Matt. Father Medina raised his hands signaling everyone to stand for the bride. The church doors were opened by the Ushers, and in walked Jade. Her dad escorted her down the aisle and you could tell Matt was trying his absolute hardest not to show emotion as she walked towards him.

Jade and Matt shared in a traditional catholic ceremony before being pronounced husband and wife. They sealed the deal with a kiss before making their way back down the aisle as guests applauded them! They were both all smiles as they walked hand in hand into newlywed life.

After the ceremony, we met the bridal party in Taos at the park for portraits. The afternoon was hot and humid, but that didn’t stop us from capturing some gorgeous images of Jade and Matt and their bridal party.   Everyone cooperated with us and we were quickly finished. We made our way to favorite spot of theirs in Taos. Jade and Matt spend a lot of time at Dave’s Tavern and asked if we could take a few photos there. We were happy to do so! Just as the sun came out, we hopped onto the hayride to make our way to the reception.

Guests were waving and cheering as we pulled into the Lions Club. The evening was kicked off and fun was had by all! Jade and Matt had a live band to perform for their guests. The live music kept everyone entertained on the dance floor! What a lovely night it was and we couldn’t have been more excited to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Moeller!

Jade and Matt, Thank you so much for allowing us to document day one of your marriage! We had so much fun celebrating with you and your families! We wish you two the absolute best as you begin newlywed life! Enjoy a few of our favorites.
