A Dreamy Summer Wedding at Timber Ridge Barn | Rylee & Thomas
Rylee and Thomas are the kind of couple you can’t help but adore! Their love is raw, genuine, and deeply rooted, and getting to witness and document that kind of connection is what makes my job so meaningful! Their wedding day at Timber Ridge Barn in Jefferson City on June 14 was nothing short of magical, even in the summer heat!
The day started with Rylee getting ready alongside her mom, slipping into a beautifully simple, elegant gown. She completed her bridal look with delicate jewelry, a veil, and the sweetest pearl-detailed shoes. Before heading out for her first look with her dad, Rylee shared a big reveal with her bridesmaid, cue all the excited squeals and happy tears!
Meanwhile, in the cozy cabin on-site, Thomas and his groomsmen were preparing for the big day with their adorable pup Luda by their side! Thomas proudly showed us all the tricks Luda could do. Spoiler alert: we were impressed! Luda was definitely a VIP guest, and he soaked up every minute of it!
One of the most emotional moments of the day came during Rylee’s first look with her dad. As he stood outside the barn waiting, Greg was already overcome with emotion before Rylee even tapped him on the shoulder. When he turned around and saw his daughter as a bride, it was pure magic, such a powerful father-daughter moment we won’t forget!
Though it was a hot and humid day, the wedding party powered through portraits with such good spirits. They were a fun, easygoing group who made our job an absolute breeze.
Instead of a first look, Rylee and Thomas chose to share their personal vows privately before the ceremony, while standing on opposite sides of a wall, holding hands, and listening to each other’s heartfelt words. This was hands down one of the most emotional moments of the day. There wasn’t a dry eye behind the camera, mine included!
The ceremony took place in the back of the property, surrounded by loved ones and summer light. As Rylee walked down the aisle with her dad, Thomas absolutely melted! One moment he was smiling wide, the next he was in tears, completely overwhelmed by love and emotion! It was the kind of moment that reminds us exactly why we do what we do!
After a joyful “I do,” we captured family formals and a few more bridal party portraits before heading inside for the reception. Rylee and Thomas stuck around for bride and groom portraits, still braving the heat like champs, and even Luda joined in. He posed like a pro, sitting sweetly, looking dapper, and stealing the show in the best way!
Once inside, the energy was electric! The bridal party kicked things off by tossing out mini bottles of Fireball as the newlyweds were introduced to their cheering guests. The evening was filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, delicious food, and a packed dance floor!
Just after their first dance, we snuck outside for golden hour portraits, and wow, the golden light did not disappoint! Rylee and Thomas absolutely glowed in that sunset light, and once again, made our jobs so easy! These two are total naturals in front of the camera and their love shines through every frame.
Rylee and Thomas, thank you for trusting us to document your love story! Your wedding day was full of so much joy, emotion, and beauty and it was a true honor to be part of it all! We wish you both a lifetime of laughter, love, adventures and sweet Luda snuggles!
Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Nield!!!
