Mr. & Mrs. Reger | Wildcliff Weddings and Events | Blackwater, Missouri Wedding

Emma and Jared are such a lovely pair! I had the pleasure of meeting these two exactly one year before their Wildcliff wedding celebration.  Emma and Jared were married in St. Louis on the same date, one year earlier.  They shared in an intimate wedding ceremony with only immediate family present.  As soon as I met them last year, I couldn’t wait to celebrate with them again at their Wildcliff wedding day!  They have a love so pure and make everyone around them feel so welcome.

We began the day photographing the reception space at The Hollow in downtown Blackwater, Missouri.  What a beautiful gem of a venue The Hollow is.  Emma and Jared transformed the reception space into a beautiful affair with pops of blue and timeless decor.  Next, we traveled to Wildcliff, where Emma and her gals were getting ready for the day in the charming cottage on site.   It’s nestled amongst the surrounding trees and gorgeous blue-green water.  It’s a getting ready space straight out of a fairytale. The cottage was buzzing with excitement all morning!

Emma slipped into her fitted gown with the help of her mom.  Once the veil was added, her mom tried to maintain her composure, but kept getting teary eyed at the sight of her daughter as a beautiful bride.  Emma’s gals hyped her up as we snapped away and documented bridal portraits of her.  Emma looked so stunning!  She’s also quite the natural model and made our job so effortless. Waiting outside the cottage, was Emma’s dad, Nato.  He was anxiously waiting to share a first look with his little girl.  Emma gifted him a tie with a photo of them on it and wrote him a card that had him crying before he even turned around to see Emma.  I thought it was one of the sweetest father/daughter first looks I’ve seen in awhile.

It was finally time for Emma and Jared to share their special first look on the cliffside.  If you’ve been to Wildcliff, you know this location is epic.  The cliffside overlooks the water and the ceremony space.  It’s such a scenic location and makes for the dreamiest first look photos.  When Jared turned around, he was in awe of his bride!  They both read letters to one another that had them smiling one second and tearing up the next!  We immediately slid right into bride and groom portraits and the cliffside location did not disappoint!  Plus, Emma and Jared are such natural models, these shots turned out magazine worthy.

We documented all of the bridal party portraits on the tree-lined driveway just before the ceremony!  Emma and Jared shared in a gorgeous ceremony overlooking the water at Wildcliff.  June in Missouri can be brutal with the heat, and that was no exception for their day.  The temps were high and so was the humidity.  Everyone stuck out the hot temps to witness Emma and Jared share in a very sentimental ceremony at the gorgeous location.  It may have been hot, but you honestly cannot tell when looking at these photos. Immediately following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while Emma and Jared took photos with their family’s.

Before heading over to the Hollow for the reception, we stole the newlyweds away for some “just married again” portraits.  The light was more golden and romantic and Emma and Jared were looking stunning as ever!  These two absolutely knocked their portraits out of the park.  Their connection is so undeniable and makes documenting it that much easier!

Just down the road, guests were waiting at The Hollow for Emma and Jared to kick off the evening of celebrating!  The bridal party created a tunnel and Emma and Jared dashed through the tunnel hand-in-hand looking giddy as ever!  They went right into their first dance as husband and wife before dinner was served!  After dinner, sentimental and funny toasts were delivered.  And perhaps one of my favorite moments was when Emma dedicated her bouquet to her mom.  She gave the sweetest toast to her mom and shared how special she is!  I thought it was so thoughtful and kind of Emma to recognize her mom at the reception.

Emma then changed into a shorter party dress which was made from her mom’s wedding dress!  Everyone filled the dance floor for the remainder of the evening!  We slipped outside The Hollow with Emma and Jared before leaving.  We did a few night ending shots with the happy couple!  It was the perfect ending to a truly perfect day!

Emma and Jared, it was been such a pleasure working with you for not one, but two important days in your lives!  I’m so thankful and grateful for the opportunity to document such special days for you both!  I’ve loved working with you both. Thank you so much for trusting me and my team with documenting it all.  Your wedding day is one I won’t soon forget!  Congratulations to the Regers!
