Milestones Barn Wedding - Warrensburg Missouri- Morgan Lee Photography

We traveled to Warrensburg, Missouri on November 2 for a beautiful wedding day at Milestones Barn! We were so excited to see this venue in person because all throughout the planning process, Jessica and Brandon spoke so highly of the place where they would say their I Do’s. Jessica and Brandon shared their first date on November 2nd years earlier, so they knew they ultimately wanted to get married on the same date! Before they were even engaged, they decided to tour the Barn and while they were on that tour, Brandon lead Jessica down the aisle and dropped to one knee under the arbor. The wedding day was finally here and Jessica and Brandon would become husband and wife under that same arbor where Brandon popped the question! We love just how sentimental the venue and wedding date is to Jessica and Brandon, so we knew the day was going to be spectacular!

When we arrived, the weather was perfect! There was a light breeze and the colorful fall foliage gracefully swayed in the wind as beautiful rays of sunshine hit the lake area! Our photography hearts were immediately swooning in excitement and we hadn’t even walked inside yet. As we entered the venue, we were so impressed with everything! Jessica is super creative and did many diy projects to make the day look amazing and elegant! Their space was absolutely breathtaking. Every direction you looked had so much beauty. We especially loved how Milestones Barn has a bridal suite and groom room for getting ready and preparing for the day. It makes the day run so smoothly when everything is held at one site.

We were met with welcoming smiles from Jessica and her bridesmaids when we walked in the bridal suite. The room was buzzing with excitement as the girls were getting hair and makeup done. Jessica had the most gorgeous bridal details all ready for us. Everything she had was so elegant and timeless! We couldn’t get enough of all the pretty we had to photograph. The day was running right on time and before we knew it, it was time to get Jess in her gown. She first joined her bridesmaids for a quick cheers where they all laughed and giggled as they sipped their bubbly!

The time was finally here and Jessica was so excited to get into her wedding gown. With the help of her maid of honor Mariah and mom, she slipped into the gown quickly. Her mom Becky added the final touches of jewelry and pressed the veil in place to finish of the look! Jessica was all smiles when her flower girl Finley came in the room and immediately ran over to her giving her the sweetest hug! Just outside the room, Jessica’s bridesmaids were patiently waiting for the big reveal. Jessica made her way to the girls and as we counted to three, they all quickly turned around. Cheering and applause happened immediately and a wave of emotions hit quickly.

Jessica and Brandon decided to forgo a first look but knew they wanted to share a special moment before the ceremony. Moments before Jessica would walk down the aisle, they held hands while separated by a wall and gave each other love notes to read. They both became emotional as they read sweet sentiments of endearment! It was one of the most emotional times of the day. I was trying my best to hold it together as I was snapping photos as my eyes filled with tears. We just adore real and authentic love and its clear these two share something truly special!

Guests made their way to the outdoor ceremony site and the music began to play as the bridal party walked down the aisle. Standing under the arbor, Brandon waited in the same spot where he proposed months before! Everyone rose to their feet as Jessica was escorted down the aisle by her mom! Brandon began to tear up the moment he saw Jessica. It was the most adorable thing to witness the emotion that he was feeling as his beautiful bride glided down the aisle! A very heartfelt message was given by their officiant before Jessica and Brandon would read their hand written vows to one another! They spoke the sweetest words about one another as they professed their love and promised forever. They sealed the ceremony with a kiss and happily made their way back down the aisle as everyone cheered in excitement!

After the ceremony, we spent the early evening hours photographing the bridal party and bride and groom portraits. We had so much fun with everyone, they truly made our job easy! Once it was time for portraits of Jessica and Brandon, we knew we were in for a treat! These two are so in love they make everything seem so effortless. They are truly head over heels with one another and are the cutest pair when they are together! As our portrait time was coming to a close, we were joined with their adorable dog Duke. He came just in time when the lighting was amazing. He was such a good boy posing for photos! We knew he was making his parents so proud!

We spent the remainder of the evening celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs. Simon! The night couldn’t have gone better or more perfect. Guests enjoyed a wonderful meal, fun dancing, and a photo booth. Everyone was entertained all night long! Jessica and Brandon are so blessed with such loving family and friends. You could feel so much love in the room throughout the entire night! To end our time with the Simon’s, we ventured back outside to take one last portrait under the arbor! We just love how sentimental it is to them as a couple and we knew it would be the perfect way to end a perfect day!

Jessica and Brandon, thank you both so much for including us in such a special day! We truly felt like family and loved how welcoming everyone was!
