As soon as I met with Danielle and Bobby last year, I knew their wedding day would be nothing short of amazing! Danielle and Bobby spoke so excitedly about their upcoming day and the plans they had for the halloween weekend wedding! Danielle and Bobby were blessed with a gorgeous October wedding day. Their day was surrounded with so much love from beginning to end. I met Danielle and her bridesmaids at the Union Station Hotel in St. Louis for getting ready, while my second shooter, Caitlin joined up with Bobby and his guys at his house in Stl. Danielle’s florist provided so many beautiful stems and blooms to be used in the detail flat lays. I was in heaven!
Danielle was calm as ever when I arrived! She was holding her sweet little baby, Bobby and enjoying the day. Danielle and all her bridesmaids gathered to the main room for a pajama shot. Even little baby Bobby joined in the fun. Danielle got into her wedding gown with the help of her mom. Within no time, she was fastened into the gown and looked stunning! You cannot even tell she just had a baby a few months ago. After getting ready, we headed a few minutes away to the Catholic church. St. Francis Xavier College church is gorgeous. It is a sight to see. I adore old churches and this one has to go down as an all time favorite.
I joined Danielle and her girls upstairs in a getting ready loft, where the prettiest stained glass windows poured in colorful light. It was almost time for the ceremony. Danielle and Bobby were married at noon with their closest family and friends in attendance. They shared a sweet kiss after being pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Swink. We spent the afternoon documenting portraits in St. Louis and Hermann, Missouri.
Once we arrived at Little Piney Lodge in Hermann, we quickly ushered Danielle and Bobby to the lake area for sunset portraits. Danielle and Bobby were up for any adventure we threw their way! We were so excited when they agreed to get into the row boat. These are perhaps some of my favorite portraits of the day. They look so romantic a dreamy. It was a great moment to steal them away from all the commotion so they could have some sweet alone time as newlyweds.
Back at the top of the hill, the reception was gearing up! Danielle and Bobby were so excited to kick off the night full of fun. As soon as they were announced into the reception, they shared their first dance as husband and wife. A fantastic family style dinner was enjoyed by all. A combination of toasts were delivered with sweet sentiments and funny stories. The remainder of the night was spent having fun and dancing! Danielle and Bobby certainly know how to have a good time. We enjoyed the carnival theme. It seemed like every time we turned around, they were setting up a new station. They had a hot dog bar, nacho bar, hot chocolate bar, candy apples, and a trick or treating bar. They really pulled out all the stops for their guests. I loved the laid back vibe of the night.
Danielle and Bobby, thank you so much for welcoming my team and treating us like family! It was truly a magical day and we felt so honored to be documenting it all. I want to wish you two the absolute best as you begin your marriage as a sweet family of three. Congratulations again, Mr. & Mrs. Swink!
