Rachel and Adam are celebrating two weeks of marriage today and we couldn’t be any more thrilled to share a sweet sneak peek into their gorgeous wedding day! November 7, 2020 was a wedding day we won’t be forgetting anytime soon. The temperatures were in the upper 70s, the autumn foliage around Jefferson City was vibrant in beauty, and Rachel and Adam were the perfect pair to spend our Saturday with! Rachel has to be one of the most calm brides we’ve ever had. When we arrived on the day of the wedding, Rachel was looking relaxed as ever and had the most joyful smile.
Rachel and Adam were preparing for the day at their reception venue, Capital Bluffs Event Center. The hall was full of lots of love, laughter, and anticipation for the day. Everyone was talking about what a beautiful day it was going to be and how they couldn’t believe the temperatures they were going to be blessed with in November. Despite all the hiccups the pandemic has thrown towards 2020 couples, Rachel and Adam took their day in stride and had one of my favorite wedding days to date!
Rachel and Adam’s wedding day ran seamlessly the entire day. We really have Rachel and Adam, as well as their wonderful family and bridal party members to thank for that! Everyone was sweet as can be and made our job so easy and effortless. When you get treated more like family from the moment you step foot into a wedding day, it truly does make all the difference. The day was full of emotion as the future Mr. & Mrs. Welch prepared for the day. Adam’s family helped him into his attire. Adam’s dad looked so proud as he watched his son as a groom.
Once it was time to get Rachel ready, she and her ladies popped a celebratory bottle of champagne to get the big event started! Rachel was zipped into her stunning lace bridal gown with the help of her mother. Once the veil was positioned in place, it was time for Rachel to share a big reveal with all of her bridesmaids. This reveal may have easily been the most excited and cheerful one we’ve ever witnessed. Cheering and excitement filled the room as everyone witnessed Rachel as a dashing bride.
Waiting outside the venue down the stairs stood Rachel’s father. He patiently waited for his daughter to arrive so they could share a daddy daughter first look. His reaction had us tearing up behind our cameras. His joy and excitement said it all. He was one proud father in that moment! After the first look, everyone headed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for the wedding ceremony. As the music heightened, the church doors were opened and in walked Rachel. Adam smiled so big and his eyes lit up at the sight of his bride. His eyes began to tear up as Rachel was escorted down the aisle by her father. Rachel and Adam took part in a traditional catholic ceremony with communion. Within an hour, the two were officially pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Welch. They sealed the deal with a sweet kiss at the alter and then made their way back up the aisle as guests cheered them on in excitement.
We truly couldn’t have had a better day with Rachel and Adam! It’s evident these two share something so special. They balance each other out and documenting their sweet love story was effortless. Together, Rachel and Adam are destined to accomplish amazing things. We spent the remainder of the evening venturing around Jefferson City for portraits. We had so much fun following their trolley from place to place as we chased the gorgeous golden light and soaked up one of the last gorgeous fall days. Rachel and Adam caught the peek of the vibrant fall leaves just in time. The foliage was showing off in all it’s autumn glory that day! Their portraits showcase some of our all time favorite fall colors.
As we traveled back to the venue, Rachel and Adam received a warm welcome from their guests as the DJ hyped everyone up in the room as he introduced the new Mr. & Mrs. Welch. The night was full of laughter, good food, and dancing. An overwhelming amount of love could be felt throughout the venue that evening and we felt so honored to be there documenting it all. We ended our time with Rachel and Adam with a sweet sparkler exit! It was the perfect ending to one of the most fun wedding days.
Congratulations to you both! We wish you all nothing but the absolute best. We have no doubt that you will do amazing things together as husband and wife! Cheers to you both and this new journey. We cannot wait to see what you two do in life together. Enjoy some of our favorites from the day. It was way to difficult to pick favorites. Many more to come.
