Mr. and Mrs. Yates | Backyard Columbia, Missouri Wedding

From the moment we first met Chelsea and Daniel at their Mizzou engagement session last fall, we knew their wedding day would be an absolute blast. We have loved getting to know them as a couple over the past year, and we feel so honored for the opportunity to be photographing them for the third time!! Chelsea and Daniel officially tied the knot on January 1^st of this year. They shared in a romantic backyard ceremony with their immediate family. It was a perfect and intimate ceremony that we will never forget. Chelsea and Daniel shared a beautiful fall celebration with their closest family and friends on October 7, 2017. The night they were officially married was a frigid one, so we felt so lucky to be drenched in sunshine with warm temperatures this time around. We can’t help but think their loved ones in heaven have something to do with that!

Their reception day came together beautifully. Under a huge white tent, vibrant pops of purple and yellow decor made the space come to life. Two pianos sat center stage, ready to entertain guests throughout the evening. A hand-created logo with C+D added a personal touch to all of the whimsical décor. The tone was set with the globe lights that were strung across the tent. So much work went into creating a space that perfectly matched Chelsea and Daniel’s style.

They kicked off the evening with entertainment from Tony B’s Dueling Pianos. Let me tell you, these two put on quite the show for Chelsea and Daniels guests! They scattered song request sheets out on tables for guests. It didn’t take long for the requests to begin rolling in and they really got the party started. Tony B and his partner duked it out for hours playing hit after hit. The dance floor was packed for the majority of the evening as guests enjoyed dancing to popular tunes. It was a nice surprise to see live musicians instead of a DJ. Chelsea and Daniel also spoiled their guests with an ice cream truck. Guests enjoyed assorted ice cream flavors from Central Dairy throughout the evening.

Together, Chelsea and Daniel are the perfect pair. Their relationship is full of fun, lighthearted moments. Their joy is infectious and you can’t help but smile when you are around them. We absolutely adore these two and couldn’t be any happier for such an amazing couple. They’re truly a perfect match and we know only great things are in store for them as they continue on this journey together. Congratulations Chelsea and Daniel!
