Oh, how excited we are to share this amazing engagement session with you all! We met with Christy and Neil this winter, and we knew immediately after seeing the pair together, that they were just the couple for us! During our consultation with them, it was obvious to see that these two are meant for one another. They are so adorable together and compliment each other perfectly. Their proposal story is one we adore! Neil surprised Christy with a photo session with their pup. While Christy’s sister was snapping sweet moments of the two, Christy was completely surprised when Neil got down on one knee to propose. He had written, “will you marry us” on a dog bone. How stinking cute is that? We are dog lovers, and any proposal that involves a pup is one we love!!
Christy and Neil couldn’t have chosen a better date for their engagement session. After all the rain we’ve had recently, we were so excited about the beautiful weather we were blessed with this past weekend. We began our session with them at the Columbia College Campus. Luckily graduations had already taken place the prior weekend, so we didn’t have to worry about people interfering with our photos. We strolled around the beautiful campus for about an hour before heading to Stephen’s Lake Park. It was only fitting to head to the park location where their relationship began!
Christy and Neil spent their summers corralling kids at a local summer camp. That local summer camp was held at Riechmann pavilion on the park property. Christy spent her days keeping all the younger kids in line, while Neil took a more laid back approach. He decided to hang with the oldest kids at camp.
Stephen’s Lake Park is such a gorgeous location and we are so thrilled they decided to end their session there. This place has it all! Beautiful landscaped areas, a lake, walking paths, and much more. The light during “golden hour” was absolutely perfect! We created so many favorites here.
We had been looking forward to Christy and Neil’s engagement session for months and months, and we are so happy to showcase some of our favorites from our time with them! We loved every minute of this beautiful engagement session and we will be counting down the days until we get to photograph their wedding day in November!
