Rebecca + Kaleb | Jefferson City, Missouri Engagement session

I had the best time on Thursday evening with this darling pair!  Rebecca and Kaleb were so much fun to work with.  They have the most adorable playful banter and their laughter was infectious.  It felt like the session flew by with these two in front of my camera.  We strolled around downtown Jefferson City, taking in all the beautiful surroundings before making our way to the river access at golden hour.  What a dream the light was at sunset.  Pair gorgeous golden light with an adorable, madly in love couple, and magic happens!  All in all, it was a spectacular evening full of fun with Rebecca and Kaleb.  I cannot wait to have these two back in front of my cameras again so we can continue to bond over Taylor Swift!

How They Met

Rebecca and Kaleb were set up on a group hangout, which was basically a blind date, in a mutual friend’s dorm room.  They were both so nervous that they barely spoke to each other the entire night. Their first official date was at Thousand Hills state park. Rebecca and Kaleb took out kayaks and spent the day on the lake.  During the date, they took their first picture together and it is still one of their favorite pictures five years later! It is a day both Rebecca and Kaleb love looking back on.  Both Rebecca and Kaleb realized early on in the relationship that they had found the one.  They both felt so comfortable around the other.  Rebecca and Kaleb are great complements to one another and bring out the best in each other!

How He Asked

In the words of Rebecca, “IT WAS SO DAMN COLD!”  Rebecca and Kaleb took a weekend trip back up to Dubuque, IA where they had basically started the long distance portion of their relationship.  This was also a place they loved, made a lot of good friends in, and have lots of good memories in, even though Rebecca only lived there for a year.  Rebecca and Kaleb went to a winery and had the entire place to themselves because the roads were covered in snow & ice.  They ate their pizza and shared a bottle of wine and danced to the music that was playing.  Lots of love songs were playing since it was Valentine’s weekend!  Kaleb got down on one knee and asked Rebecca to marry him and she didn’t have to think twice about the answer.

It’s pretty evident that you can feel the love these two share when you scroll through their photos.  I could not help but smile as I documented their adorable connection! Enjoy some of my favorites from my time with Rebecca and Kaleb.  Congratulations you two!
