The summer before her senior year of college, Sarah met her future husband. As fate would have it, three fraternity boys moved into the house across the street from Sarah and her sorority sisters. One of those boys was Mark! With a weakness for redheads, Sarah called to tell her sister about the cute boy moving in across the street. A housewarming party was held, but the two barely spoke to one another. The next week, Mark messaged Sarah on Facebook to clarify what day trash was picked up in the neighborhood, and the rest is history! A few days after their first encounter, Mark asked Sarah for help assembling a new grill. They spent the night laughing at how terrible he is with power tools as they put together a Frankenstein of a grill. Sarah says that she knew from day one that Mark was the one for her! With their love for outdoor activities, new adventures, and their fun easy going personalities, the two just clicked. The adorable pair began dating in the fall of 2015.
In July of 2017 Sarah and Mark took a long weekend to travel to Little Rock, Arkansas. On the first morning there, Sarah and Mark set out to hike Pinnacle Mountain with their pup. After losing the trail, they were forced to scramble their way to the top. Mark was adamant that they make their way to the top despite the extreme temperatures and being lost. When they finally made their way to the top of the mountain, Mark got down on one knee and asked Sarah to marry him!!
Sarah and Mark had the most beautiful October day for their engagement session in Columbia, Missouri. From the moment they stepped out of the car, we knew their session would be so much fun! Their giddiness had us smiling from start to finish! When it is evident that two people are made for each other, that’s when our job is made easy. We loved every minute of our time with Sarah and Mark! We were swooning with every click of the shutter as Sarah and Mark posed so effortlessly. They were such naturals in front of the camera. Mark kept Sarah laughing the majority of the session. We love when couples can just relax and be themselves during a session! Capen Park is definitely one of our favorite parks to visit in the fall with all of the beautiful colors present. This gorgeous park on a fall day, paired with the perfect couple, helped create some of our all time favorite engagement images! For our next stop we headed to another local park in Columbia to get photographs with their precious pup Olive. She’s as sweet as can be and behaved so well the entire time! We ended our time on a high note with a celebratory champaign popping!
As if we weren’t already excited for their October wedding date, our time with them at the engagement session had us wishing their wedding date was sooner! We cannot wait to photograph this lovely pair on their special day! We are especially excited for their “First Look.” We know it will be on of the best moments of the day! Enjoy some of our favorites from their pretty sun drenched fall session!
