We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect fall day for Shannon and Jason’s engagement session. We love when we get the opportunity to photograph at new locations, and the location they chose for their session did not disappoint. Set in the quaint little town of Rocheport, Missouri, is a section of the Katy Trail and an extraordinary tunnel; Pretty fall foliage covered the clifftops and created a beautiful backdrop for portraits. We were blessed with warm weather and golden sunlight. The way the sun light poured into our lens was an absolute dream! Sun drenched fall days help create some of our all time favorite images!
Shannon and Jason are match made in heaven! Our job was made easy with these two naturals in front of our camera. Jason kept Shannon laughing throughout the entire session. When he whispered sweet nothings into her ear, her eyes would light up and the biggest grin would stretch across her face! Their joyfulness is contagious and you just cannot help but smile when you are around them. They are such a darling pair and the love they share is just adorable.
You never know when or how you might meet “the ONE.” Shannon and Jason share a love story that we adore! In todays day and age, it’s not uncommon to meet the love of your life online. With the rise of dating apps, couples now find it easier than ever to find a potential match. Jason spotted Shannon on Tinder and quickly reached out to her with a message. Shannon kept him waiting, and didn’t respond to his first message until six months later. Jason was so relieved when she finally responded back. He wasted no time and quickly asked her to accompany him to Sparkey’s homemade Ice cream for a first date. With a shared love for travel, adventure, and hiking, Shannon and Jason knew instantly that they just “clicked.”
A perfect proposal was planned for the adventurous pair! Shannon’s favorite holiday Independence day, so Jason wanted to plan a proposal around the time of the holiday. They traveled to Colorado with plans to hike up a 14,000 foot mountain. On top of the mountain, overlooking Colorado’s natural beauty is where Jason intended to view fireworks with Shannon. On July 1st, when they made it to the top of the mountain, Jason proposed! The sweet moment was captured by Jason himself; he attached a Go-Pro to his chest to record Shannon’s reaction. The image he captured with his Go-Pro says it all! She was so shocked and overjoyed with the incredible gesture.
