Emma & Caid | A Heartfelt Ely Manor Wedding in Jefferson City
Emma and Caid’s wedding day began like many others, but quickly proved to be something extraordinary! Ely Manor buzzed with energy as Emma and her bridesmaids laughed and prepped in the bridal suite. Emma exuded grace from the very start, calmly doing her own makeup with ease. She truly looked radiant!
Her bridal details were a photographer’s dream, thoughtfully curated with vintage touches that I could’ve photographed all day. And her gown? The perfect blend of timeless lace and modern simplicity! It was effortlessly elegant and so uniquely her.
After some fun, cozy PJ portraits with her bridesmaids and flower girl, Emma slipped into her dress with the help of her mom and sister. As soon as she was ready, you could feel the shift! Her confidence, joy, and pure beauty said it all. Her smile lit up the room, and when we brought in her bridesmaids for a grand reveal, the squeals and cheers filled the air!
Meanwhile, outside near the water’s edge, Emma’s dad stood waiting for their first look. When she tapped his shoulder, his reaction was one of pure awe. The embrace they shared, and the sweet letter Emma gave him, was such a tender and emotional moment!
Just before bridesmaid portraits began, one of the girls gathered everyone to pray over Emma. That quiet moment of faith and sisterhood was incredibly moving! It’s not something we often see on wedding days, and it added such a grounding, beautiful touch to the celebration. The portraits flowed so naturally with this sweet group, even as the clouds overhead began to darken.
Caid got ready with his best man by his side, cracking jokes and keeping things light. His groomsmen were a rowdy, fun-loving crew, and their portraits were full of laughter, inside jokes, and even a few impromptu football plays. The skies grew heavier, but the guys didn’t let that stop them. Just as we wrapped up, the rain came hard and fast.
Originally, the ceremony was planned to take place outside by the water, but with the downpour, the indoor reception space was quickly transformed into the most elegant Plan B. You’d never have guessed it wasn’t the original vision. The space was cozy and magical, and the ceremony itself, officiated by Caid’s dad, was deeply meaningful! They kept Christ at the center, and their handwritten vows were so heartfelt. You could feel how much these two truly adore each other in every glance and smile!
After the “I do’s” and family portraits indoors, we made our way to the Capitol in downtown Jefferson City. It rained the entire drive, but we stayed hopeful, and just as we arrived, the skies softened. A light drizzle lingered here and there, but Emma and Caid embraced it like pros. They strolled through the Capitol grounds like a scene from a movie, effortless, joyful, and so in love! Every frame we captured felt like magic with these two!
Back at the reception, guests erupted into cheers as the newlyweds made their grand entrance! Caid litereally swept Emma off her feet and he lifted her to his shoulder before cradling her into a dip and kiss that would rival any rom-com moment! It was a highlight, for sure!
The evening unfolded with heartfelt toasts, cake cutting, and a sweet bouquet dedication from Emma to her mom. After dinner, we snuck away with the couple for golden hour portraits. The clouds had finally parted, revealing a dreamy golden light by the water. It was the perfect finale to a day that had it all!
Back inside, Emma and Caid shared their first dance as husband and wife, surrounded by their loved ones. The dance floor stayed full the rest of the night, packed with energy, laughter, and celebration. Just before we left, we captured one final set of portraits outside at dusk, as the last colors of the sky painted the sky behind them!
Emma and Caid, thank you! You and your families welcomed us so warmly and made the entire day such a joy to document from beginning to end! Your love, your joy, and your faith set the tone for a wedding that was beautiful in every way! We’re so honored to have been part of it!
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Stockstill!
