A Classic & Elegant Wedding Day | Megan + Landon

Megan and Landon’s wedding day was the perfect balance of tradition, elegance, and timeless romance! Even though they brought us in for just a few hours, we were able to capture all the portrait goodness their day had to offer, and oh, was it beautiful!

When we arrived at St. Joseph Cathedral, Megan had just stepped outside to share a first look with her bridesmaids. Their joyful cheers and wide-eyed smiles said it all, the bride was absolutely stunning! Dressed in her classic white gown, with a radiant glow and excitement written all over her face, Megan set the tone for what would be an unforgettable day!

The couple chose a black and white color palette, creating a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere that felt so perfectly them. Megan and her bridesmaids couldn’t stop giggling during portraits (which made our job a dream!), and the newly remodeled entrance of St. Joseph Cathedral provided the most breathtaking backdrop for their laughter and beauty to shine! Once the girls slipped back inside, it was time for Landon and his groomsmen to take the spotlight. Landon may be a quiet soul, but it was clear how ready he was to see Megan and start this next chapter together!

Soon after, guests began filing into the cathedral for the 1 o’clock ceremony. Faith is deeply important to both Megan and Landon, so saying “I do” during a traditional Catholic mass was meaningful and sacred. They exchanged vows, received communion, and presented flowers to Mary before being pronounced husband and wife. Their graceful dip and sweet kiss at the end of the altar as Mr. & Mrs. Troesser was the perfect ending to their ceremony!

After family portraits, we made our way to the Missouri State Capitol, and to our delight, had the entire place to ourselves! Their wedding party was full of laughter, energy, and true joy, making portraits an absolute blast. It was so clear Megan and Landon are surrounded by friends who genuinely love and support them! When it came time for just the two of them, magic happened. Megan and Landon are tender, joyful, and completely in love, and it radiated in every single frame! With perfect August weather, we extended our time at the Capitol a bit longer, because honestly, I could have photographed them all evening. Their sweet connection and effortless chemistry were such a gift to capture!

We wrapped up portraits and sent Megan and Landon back to the church hall, where family and friends eagerly awaited their return for the reception!
