On Saturday March 23, Kylie and Wesley joined hands in marriage at Capital Bluffs Event Center as they were surrounded by their closest family and friends from near and far. The beautiful spring day began at the gorgeous new venue in Jefferson City which we just adore! We started the day off right with Kylie’s beautiful bridal details. We could have photographed her pretty little details all day. We were especially fond of her bridal bouquet. As soon as it arrived, we were swooning over its magnificence. It was the perfect spring bouquet with a soft and romantic color pallet. It was such a lovely little reminder that spring is finally here!! After the winter we have had, we were so ready for this day and soaking up all of the beautiful spring weather. As the day moved along, things were staying right on track!
It was finally time to get Kylie into her wedding gown; with the help of her mom and sister, the stunning Breeze Bridal Boutique gown was slipped on and buttons were fastened. Many laughs and giggles were had as Kylie’s sister added the veil as the finishing touch. They giggled and laughed some more trying not cry at the sight of Kylie as a stunning bride standing in front of them. Once Kylie was all ready, it was time to share a special look with a special someone in her life. Her dad! We let her dad know it was time, and as soon as we began making our way outside, he began to get emotional. He stood outside anxiously awaiting his little girl. When he turned around to see a bride standing in front of him, he looked so proud and you could see all of the love he has for his daughter written all over his face. It was such a special moment shared between them. They laughed and they cried, and embraced. It’s the sweetest thing to see a tough guy melt in the presence of his little girl. This daddy daughter first look gave us all the feels!
Next, it was time for Kylie to finally see her groom Wesley! We found the perfect little wooded area for these two to share their first look! We set Wesley in place and he was so excited to see his bride! As Kylie walked up behind him, she paused to take in the moment and regain her composure before tapping him on the shoulder to turn around. As Wesley turned around, they both immediately had the biggest grins on their faces. He quickly grabbed his stunning bride and whisked her in for a long hug. Every time he glanced at the sight of his bride, Wesley could not stop smiling. He looked so genuinely happy. It was such a beautiful moment to witness. It’s clear that Kylie is Wesley’s whole world. He crumbles at the sight of her and looks at her as if there is no one else in the world. It’s seriously the cutest thing! They are such a darling pair and we adored capturing their true connection. It was so easy taking bride and groom portraits with these two because they are just so natural in front of the camera. The love they share is real and it was evident with every click of our shutter. We would have photographed them all day if we could!
We spent the late afternoon traveling around Jefferson City for the perfect portrait locations. With such a fun bridal party, our time went by so quickly. Everyone laughed and looked like they were having a genuinely great time as we photographed them. We wish every bridal party would make our job this simple.
As the time neared five o’clock we began to prepare for the ceremony. Kylie and Wes shared in a lovely ceremony at Capital City Bluffs. They shared traditional vows and participated in a sand ceremony. After rings were exchanged, the two were officially married! The rest of the evening was spent celebrating the happy new couple. Several sweet toasts were given, first dances were had, and the cake was cut before the DJ really got the party started. Once the music started, the dance floor was hopping the remainder of the night. They had so many lively guests willing to get out there and just have fun dancing. We love receptions like this because they are so fun to capture. We ended our evening with Kylie and Wes with a sparkler exit just outside of the venue. Everyone waved their sparklers around and cheered as Kylie and Wes made their way through the crowd. It was truly the perfect ending to the perfect day.
Kylie and Wesley, Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to document one of the most special days of your life. It was such a wonderful day from start to finish. We adored getting to know you both and seeing your love story unfold in front of our cameras. You both are truly blessed with such a wonderful group of family and friends supporting you and celebrating you! We wish you two the absolute best as you begin this new season of life as husband and wife! Here’s to many happy years! Enjoy some of our favorites from the gorgeous day!
