We are so excited to share a beautiful engagement session of the lovely pair that is Amanda and Josh! They traveled into downtown Jefferson City, Missouri from Iowa for their engagement session. We knew as soon as they stepped out of the car, their session would be a breeze. You can just tell when a couple is head over heels in love with one another. When two people just fit together, you know your session will be nothing short of amazing. A little shy at first, it didn’t take long for them to warm up to the camera. Speaking of warm, I think it’s safe to say they chose one of the hottest days so far for the session. It was extremely hot and humid, but these two didn’t let a little heat interfere with their love! They stayed all cuddled up with one another the majority of the session. We were so blown away and impressed with their modeling skills. You can’t even tell how hot it is by looking at these images and we are so grateful for that!! Josh never failed to make Amanda laugh during our time together. She would giggle and her eyes would light up each time he whispered in her ear! Their connection is just undeniable. We love that we get to opportunity to document love stories like theirs on a regular basis.
Amanda and Josh are just the sweetest duo. With a couple so genuine and down to earth, we were loving every minute of their session! We are dog people, so you can imagine our excitement when Amanda let us know that they had brought their two pups along to be in some of the photos. Both of their dogs knew how to win over the camera. They were just the cutest as they posed with their mom and dad!! It’s no secret that we encourage anyone with pets to include them in your session! We enjoyed stopping at many Jefferson City locations. Jefferson City offers so many great backdrops that we just love. Every time we visited a new spot, Amanda and Josh just lit up the camera. We didn’t want our time with them to end. We are so looking forward to their September wedding day in St. Louis!
Amanda and Josh met while working together at Dillards. It was actually Amanda’s job to train Josh when he was hired on with the company. They quickly formed a friendship and went on a double date together since they were both in separate relationships. Josh decided to find work else where shortly after being hired on at Dillards and the two lost touch for a brief moment. Fast forward about one year, and Amanda and Josh would reconnect on Facebook. After a few months of chatting, they decided to hang out one on one for the first time. They quickly realized that they made each other very happy and began dating. After moving out of state on two separate occasions, and Josh agreeing to follow Amanda, she knew he was very serious and had to be the one! The weekend they would make their move to Iowa, Josh decided to make a pit stop in Jefferson City to celebrate Amanda’s Birthday. What Amanda thought was a going to be a chill Mexican dinner to celebrate with some family, turned into a surprise party. Amanda walked in and immediately started crying after seeing her parents who traveled in from Chicago without her knowledge. Everyone in the room was holding cards that spelled out “Happy Birthday”. As Amanda turned around, everyone turned their cards around to spell out “Will You Marry Me?” Josh knelt down on one knee and and proposed! It was such a romantic moment shared by many that they love!
