I met Hannah and Andrew in the charming downtown, Jefferson City for their engagement session! From the moment they arrived, I knew the session would be so fun with these two. Hannah and Andrew were comfortable in front of the camera almost immediately, making their undeniable connections so easy to document. I loved their personalities and how giddy they were with each other. We ended their session with the gorgeous fall colors as the backdrop! It was the perfect ending to one great session.
How They Met
Hannah and Andrew both worked together at Gerbes as cashiers. Andrew remembers meeting Hannah in high school in 2016 when she first applied, however, Hannah has no recallection of that moment. In 2018, after a few years of working at the same store, Andrew and Hannah officially began spending time together outside of work in the summer time before college. Up until then, they were only work pals. Things would soon change when Andrew asked Hannah out to eat after a work shift. Their first date was casual, Mexican food in the evening after they had both worked their shift at Gerbes. Hannah was nervous, but really excited to spend time with Andrew alone for the first time. After the date, she knew she had feelings for Andrew.
How He Asked
Andrew and Hannah spent the evening getting Texas Roadhouse (her favorite). Andrew doesn’t even remember his steak because he was so nervous. After dinner, the two went for a drive; Hannah began playing George Straight music in the car on the way! Hannah and Andrew went to the river where they spend a lot of time in the summer, and Andrew surprised Hannah by popping the question! He had Hannah’s sister hiding taking pictures and it was perfect! Andrew knew Hannah wanted to be surprised, so the entire night was a blur for him, as he was trying to pull it all off without Hannah figuring out the plan. Once he pooped the question, a neighbor at the river even gave Andrew a beer, stating that he looked like he needed one After the proposal, Andrew planed a small party with their family’s to celebrate! Andrew says, “Putting it into words sounds kind of lame, but it really was perfect. We were both so happy and I was happy she loved the ring!”
