Recently, I had the incredible pleasure of capturing the beautiful engagement session of Kaci and Kyle! What made this session stand out was not just the love they share, but also the heartwarming enthusiasm that shone through, even on a cloudy day.
Their session began on a property owned by a family friend of Kaci and Kyle. Unfortunately, as soon as I arrived, the sun decided to hide behind the clouds, casting a somewhat gloomy shadow over our outdoor adventure. But, as photographers know, sometimes the best photos are taken in the most unexpected conditions. In this case, the overcast sky added a unique softness to the pictures that perfectly complemented the love that Kaci and Kyle share.
From the moment we began, it was evident that Kaci and Kyle’s bright personalities were going to be the guiding light in our session. Their giddiness was infectious, and their love for each other was palpable. Their smiles radiated warmth, and their laughter was cute as can be
The timing of the engagement session was also perfect as the fall foliage had just begun to make its debut on select trees around the property. T he vibrant shades of red, orange, and gold served as a picturesque backdrop, enhancing the romantic atmosphere. What truly stood out about Kaci and Kyle was their childlike hearts. Their willingness to embrace the playful side of love and not take themselves too seriously made the session incredibly enjoyable. They were not afraid to have fun, be silly, and get lost in the moment, which made for some truly authentic and heartwarming shots.
How They Met
Kaci and Kyle met in 2011 at a family friend’s farm/cabin. It was actually the same property we photographed the majority of their session at. Fast forward to 2020 and the two would go on their first date in Fulton at Ohana’s Pizzeria.
How He Asked
Kaci was at Kyle’s house where they will live together once they’re married. Kaci was making chocolate chip cookies with Kyle’s grandmas recipe. When she turned around, he was on one knee! The first thing Kaci asked was, “are you joking?” Because she didn’t know he had asked her dad! Their dog was there too it was sweet. After the intimate proposal, they FaceTimed their family and everyone was so excited!
