After having to reschedule earlier in the week because of rainy weather, we were rewarded with the most beautiful sunny Sunday evening for Kaitlin and Bryant’s engagement session in Jefferson City, Missouri. While it was definitely on the warmer side, these two never let the heat steal a single moment of joy from the evening!
From the moment they stepped out of the car, their excitement and giddiness were contagious. They spent the entire session laughing, teasing one another, and simply soaking in every moment together. One of my favorite things about Kaitlin and Bryant is the playful, childlike energy they share. They make each other laugh so effortlessly, and documenting their genuine giddiness was an absolute dream!
Knowing they were drawn to more nature settings, we spent the evening exploring some of my favorite outdoor locations around Jefferson City! We wandered through fields of tall, wispy grass dancing in the summer breeze, stopped along a beautiful bridge on the Katy Trail, and finished the evening down by the river just as the sun began to set. Golden hour wrapped everything in the glowiest light, creating the perfect ending to an already beautiful session!
How They Met
Sometimes the sweetest love stories are the ones that have been quietly unfolding for years! For Kaitlin and Bryant, their story actually began long before they ever started dating. As kids, their families were friends, never knowing that one day those childhood connections would grow into something so much more!!
Their first official date was at Texas Roadhouse and from there, their relationship quickly began to blossom! After countless dates, concerts together, and simply enjoying life side by side, Kaitlin knew Bryant was the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
How He Asked
When Bryant decided it was time to ask the biggest question of all, he made sure it was a moment Kaitlin would never forget! With the help of one of her best friends, the two planned what Kaitlin thought was simply a photo session at the Missouri State Capitol. As they were taking photos together, Bryant quietly stepped into place behind her. When Kaitlin was told to turn around, she found Bryant down on one knee asking her to marry him! Such a thoughtful and unforgettable way to begin this next chapter together.
As a couple, Kaitlin and Bryant love spending time together doing some of their favorite things like attending concerts, cheering on their favorite teams at sporting events, and making memories with their families and friends. When Kaitlin talks about Bryant, it’s easy to see why she fell in love with him. She admires his integrity, his drive, his empathy, and the way he consistently does the right thing! She describes him as someone with a kind heart who works hard in everything he does.
I truly couldn’t have enjoyed my time with these two more. Their kindness, laughter, and genuine love for one another made every moment behind the camera feel effortless. As they look forward to celebrating becoming one alongside all of their family and friends on their wedding day, I already know it’s going to be such a joyful celebration!
Kaitlin and Bryant, thank you for trusting me to capture this sweet season of your lives! I cannot wait to have you both back in front of my camera again and celebrate alongside you as you officially become husband and wife!
