Mr. & Mrs. Werner | Kleffner Valley | Loose Creek, Missouri Wedding

There are some wedding days that simply feel timeless from beginning to end, and Megan and Alex’s June 27th celebration was exactly that! Their day was filled with meaningful moments, heartfelt emotions, beautiful details, and the sweetest love story! From getting ready at the stunning Kleffner Valley in Loose Creek, Missouri, to saying “I do” during a traditional Catholic Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City, every part of their wedding day was absolutely beautiful!

The morning began at Kleffner Valley, where Megan and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready upstairs in the venue’s gorgeous bridal suite. The beautiful natural light pouring through the windows created the perfect atmosphere as everyone laughed, chatted, and prepared for the day ahead. Meanwhile, Alex and his groomsmen got ready in the nearby groom suites, eagerly anticipating the big day ahead!

One of my favorite parts of the morning was seeing the incredible vision Megan and Alex created inside the reception space. Their design was elegant, timeless, and effortlessly romantic. Flickering candles lined each table alongside delicate bud vases overflowing with white florals, while the head table was beautifully adorned with even more bud vases and lush white roses. Every detail embraced a soft palette of creamy whites that made the room feel classic and sophisticated. Behind the head table hung a gorgeous flowing fabric backdrop displaying their new last name, “The Werners,” creating the perfect focal point for the evening’s celebration!

As the morning continued, Megan slipped into her wedding gown with the help of her mom and sister. It was such a sweet, emotional moment to witness as her mom became teary eyed seeing her daughter dressed as a bride! Her sister carefully helped her into her shoes before placing the finishing touches on Megan’s veil. Once everything was perfectly in place, Megan paused for a quiet moment in front of the mirror, taking in the reflection of herself as a bride for the very first time! She looked absolutely radiant!!

Once Megan was ready, we invited her bridesmaids in for a grand reveal. The room instantly filled with squeals, cheers, and excitement as they saw Megan in her gown for the first time. It was such a joyful moment! Afterwards, the girls gathered together on the couch to celebrate with a bubbly toast before we moved into portraits. Meanwhile, Alex spent a quiet few moments reading a heartfelt letter from Megan, and you couldn’t wipe the smile from his face. Megan also took time to read a sweet note from Alex after she had gotten dressed, making for another meaningful pause before the festivities truly began.

Before bridal party portraits, Megan shared an incredibly sweet first look with her dad outside the front of the barn. The two embraced with big hugs and even bigger smiles as they soaked in one of the most special moments of the day together. Since Megan and Alex chose to wait until the ceremony to see one another, we photographed each of them separately with their bridal parties before making our way to Jefferson City for the ceremony.

Inside Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, family and friends gathered as Megan made her way down the aisle to Alex. The two exchanged vows during a beautiful traditional Catholic Mass before being pronounced husband and wife. As the newlyweds made their way back up the aisle, they paused for a sweet kiss and dip that had everyone smiling. Outside the church, their bridal party erupted into cheers and excitement once again as they exited the church doors as Mr. and Mrs. Werner!

Following the ceremony, we traveled to the Missouri State Capitol for bridal party and newlywed portraits. Megan and Alex made photographing them feel effortless! Their connection is so genuine, sweet, and full of joy that documenting their love came naturally. Not to mention, they are truly two of the most beautiful people inside and out!

After portraits at the Capitol, we returned to Kleffner Valley where one of Megan’s most anticipated moments of the day finally arrived! Before joining their guests inside, we snuck away to the back field for portraits surrounded by the peaceful countryside. Megan had told us ahead of time that these field portraits were one of the things she was most excited about, and they certainly did not disappoint! The beautiful landscape created the perfect backdrop for some of my favorite portraits from the entire day.

Once back inside, guests eagerly awaited the couple’s grand entrance into the reception. Following their introduction, heartfelt toasts from Megan’s dad and grandfather welcomed everyone before guests enjoyed dinner together. As the evening unfolded, we stepped outside one final time for sunset portraits, and they were absolutely worth it!! Much of the day had been fairly cloudy, so when the golden sunlight finally peeked through just before sunset, our entire team was thrilled! The warm, glowing light wrapped around Megan and Alex perfectly, creating some truly magical portraits that beautifully captured the essence of their special day!

After sunset, the celebration continued with additional heartfelt toasts from members of the bridal party before Megan and Alex shared their first dances together as husband and wife. The evening continued with guests gathering outside on the patio where a live band kept everyone dancing, laughing, and celebrating late into the night.

From beginning to end, Megan and Alex’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. Every detail reflected who they are as a couple; kind, joyful, elegant, and deeply in love! It was truly an honor for my team and me to document such an unforgettable day!

You have both been such a joy to work with, and it has been so special getting to know you throughout this sweet season of your lives! We wish you both a lifetime filled with laughter, adventure, and countless beautiful moments together.
